Love seeing another SR5 on the trails! I have a 2014 4Runner SR5 and I've been so impressed with everything it can do stock with a good set of KO2s.

You're right, ATRAC does work pretty nicely... Not to hammer you, but ATRAC only functions in 4 low so unfortunately it wasn't benefitting you at all in 4 high. Enjoyed your video.

I did this in my Tacoma TRD Pro 265/75R16 Toyo M/T’s in 4 low aired down to 20 psi it’s a really fun trail didn’t need my rear locker or ATrac. Good tire placement helps a lot.

Nice dude! Great video. I go out to Moab every summer but due to some tight squeezes, I haven't tried poison spider. I have a 2013 Raptor and she has a wide ass. No doubt she would make it, just don't want to scrape her all up. Yet... Thanks again for sharing.

Your rig made it just fine. I wonder how much of a difference the new Toyota TRD Pro would have been with the electric assist for the lack of front lockers? I can tell you that Rubicons do make those trails easy. Enjoyed the video, and I really like that roof top tent!
@WW-wf8tu4 жыл бұрын
@@Kiafoulis1 TRD walks stuff like this as if you're on level pavement. On stock tires. ;) TRD's can and have done the Rubicon trails as well. It all comes down to lines, spotting and tires. Heck on the Rubicon I seen people redesigning the landscape for jeepers as they went along. What kind of challenge is that? A whole squad of spotter and rock movers. Pathetic.

@bimbolaolagbemi3485 жыл бұрын
i'm going to ask what might look like a dumb question; but it's purely because I don't know the answer. do you have to drive back-tracking to the start point or are these trails like 'loops' that bring you back to the start to get off the trail?
@mikksup5 жыл бұрын
Depends on the trail. This one there is back tracking, but a lot in moab are loops 👍

Any reason why you didn't chose to go into 4 low on those obstacles? Sounded like the torque converter was not very happy in a few spots.

I tell people I was distracted by trying to film and be my own spotter. But it was just a stupid mistake. I fixed it a little way up the trail
@Jeepingshort2 жыл бұрын
He probably realistically ruined that torque converter and his transmission will die a lot sooner than it should have.

Even the salesman told me the Pro was overpriced. (I got the Off Road because it has some meaningful upgrades over the SR5 for the price).
@solooverland36664 жыл бұрын
Moishe Lettvin Good choice! You’ll enjoy it. I enjoy mine and never wish I had the Pro, although I’ll be getting a Fox suspension upgrade. Already have 4 skid plates, rock sliders, winch, roof rack, snorkel. Why bother w the Pro? Like this I can choose my own accessories/mods and their timing, as well as not paying long term interest on them (they’re overpriced already)...
