Found this song because youtube randomly recommended me the song "ending time" by the lazarus plot, which apparently is sung by this same "Laura" he talks about 😭

This is a solid track. I had no idea someone wrote a song about Laura. The Lazarus Plot were a good 90s band. Laura was always friendly to me. Simon is still a close friend. Suburban Chi-town punk, represent.

@@JohnADuerk That's good to hear. I actually emailed Simon to ask him, he responded to my initial email within 15 minutes but then when I asked about Laura he never replied back so I appreciate you letting me know. The places I've seen say she died have all been in relation to Bright Eyes so I think his fans were just making up their own stories based on what he's mentioned about her in his songs.

It is about an old friend of him who appearently was very depressed. At one point he moved on with his live, leaving her behind.

Isaiah ii Lauren Laurent was the girl who was in a sad/suicide emo band in the 90's called The Lazarus Plot. she had some amazing stuff. they made 2 records. I posted them on my channel
