What happened in 1947 was sad. Separation of POK from India was unfortunate. But, we certainly don't want the people of those regions back in our country. They want to join India when it has become hard for them to survive. They are looking at their benefits. This move is not born out of patriotism, so we don't want them.

I recently met a person from Balochistan in Germany and he was talking about the poor conditions and their fight against the Pakistan army for respect and freedom. He said the world only talks about Kashmir and forgets the struggles of Balochi people. Occupying PoK is more important than the Muslims radicalism problem ⚠️ ... only by occupying PoK we can stop China's CPEC and also can get access to the Afghan border ... we have good relations with afganistan , and can also get access to Iranian oil 🛢️ from getting direct pipelines through Afganistan ...... so this should happen ... on the other hand, to counter the radicalism , we have to run special campaign especially in PoK , to educate them at the top level , poke the Indian nationalism inside their brains ... this could only be the possible way to tackle that ... we should also frequently arrange seminars by Indian army officers . It would be our duty to kick radicalism out of their brain ... there are some sects of Muslims in India who are highly educated and non-radical in nature .

That is not the major issue, issue here is that if we gain control of pok, we can single handedly break pak and china alliance, BRI scheme. We should work on liberating them to freedom and hold elections there. Citizenship is something that we can choose to provide once it is a free state, and then willing to join.

They are "perturbed" against the Pakistan government and the "establishment", but i for a single second will not believe that they are mentally ready to join India or to be "Indians". Which is much more important. This is a temporary agitation. They wouldn't even go to the extent of starting an armed agitation against the Pakistanis, like what the Bengalis did. And it's not 71, Pak has an option of a nuclear deterrent now. What we shouldn't forget is that these people have been radicalised against India, Indians, and hindus in the name of religion for all these years. @@J.M.254 Reality is different. Any sort of Union in future with POK or Pakistan which involves free movement of people has to be controlled. India and Pakistan are on very different path , specially in last 40 years. India will not like to have additional burden of practically low skill and religious zeolots. In India there is already issue of interstate migrations due to non-equitable development. Pakistan/POK has to improve sunstacially to have any sort of free movement with India.

It is a historic fact that in his final days, Jinha realized the blunder that he had made by dividing India but there was nothing that he could do about it and finally he died in agony. As a proof, East Pakistan which got liberated into Bangladesh in 1971 is doing far better today than Pakistan regardless of whatever problems that it is facing.❤

Country that was made out of things like jealousy, division, non-equality, difference etc, can never succeed. Just think of the mentality of people at that time who left India just to be with their community. These people left because they believed in community, they believed in differences and wanted their way of life. When you have all these negative people gathered at one place, what else could happen to that place. Just imagine if British India or Bharat wasnt divided into India and pakistan. If India does not take them back now, they will fall victim to the aggressive China. The people in PoK and Baltistan did not opt for Pakistan. They are Kashmiris and tied their fate with the rest of the J&K state. They were forcibly snatched by the mercenary tribal brutes sent by Jinnah after the partition. They also suffered losses. They are mostly Shiahs, different and rather liberal wing of the Islam. If we don’t take it back, China or Iran will occupy them. Just as the Indian government keeps pampering Bangladesh with tremendous support lest they are wooed by our arch enemy China.

Thick skin won't change that easily. Already we have problem of their community residing in India . They like to join their members and want to have their own rule than following country rules. Already in Kerala and Karnataka have illegal migrants of their fellow men from Pakistan and Bangaladesh. If POK really wants to unite with India, they must start a large scale movement across the breadth of its region, should start signature campaign petitioning to reunite with India. Only then, India will make any effort towards reunification. India has always been a peaceful country- it engages in war and violence only if it’s absolutely necessary!! Right now, India’s priority is economic growth, education and development for its existing citizens!!
