Iris is still probably one of my favorite characters in the entire franchise. I get why other Champions, especially Cynthia, are held in such high regard, but there’s something about Iris’ character across the games and the anime that I just absolutely adore. I’m even willing to say that she’s my favorite Champion by a long shot and that this is how a Champion SHOULD be made.

You use really unique pokemon that most wouldn't use on a challenge run and I applaud you

This fight is just the definition of having fun. While pretty much every other league master's up to this point on pokemon games meant something for the story and just yelled at you that the story wasn't over, that there was a last obstacle to beat before finally finishing the game, Iris's battle just hits differently. Now that you've beaten team plasma twice in pokemon B/W and B/W 2, changed the way if thinking of the such tormented character that was N, saved Inova from Two legendaries, carried through two entire games ang finally gotten to the point of the league master, This theme just slaps you in the face like nothing you've ever seen before. Iris isn't a serious trainer nor is she a badass one, she started of as a regular trainer, just like you, and she likes to battle, just like you. This is why she's not the hardest league master to beat; she's actually on the same level as you, instead of being a superior to you, she's actually an equal to you, here to make you remember the world is a fun place full of joys and happiness instead of making you fear the world like the entire Black & white games pretty much did. This is even more effecient when we remember this is actually the last league in a 2D pokémon game, a fun goodbye letter to an era, and an amazing premice to a new one

If I remember correctly... My very first time beating her in Black 2 when I first got my game was... Samurott Lucario(MVP OHKOing her Haxorus and Hydregion with 1x Swords Dance Ice Punch and Close Combat) Unfezant Cobalion Chandelure(OHKOing both Aggron and Lapras with back to back crits with Fire Blasts) Jolteon(Super Clutch with Archeops with a Crit Thunderbolt since Jolteon was my weakest Pokémon compared to the rest of my team) I was so proud of this team when I beat her with an on par Level team... Especially since I struggled with 2 of the Elite 4 beforehand. The Ghost and Fighting Elite 4 members.

I love how in the first battle, you only got to one and a half guitar chords in Iris' theme then Hydreigon switched it to the low health theme.

Iris Champion theme is DOPE!!!

Iris is the best character in pokemon. Her role as champion is so poetic, and she's the hardest champion to beat. Cynthia and Leon are hard too, don't get me wrong, but Iris is on another level. Plus, her aesthetics are wonderfully bombastic, and her theme is bonkers

Frickin Lv80 Pokémon, she is SO crazy.

Iris has the best champion theme. The music matches the other-worldly, magical aesthetics of Iris’ room and battle perfectly.

I defeated her using -Lucario(Jac) -Serperior(Snek) -Flygon(Sander) -Swanna(Daisy) -Drapion(Stingsalot) -Chandelure(Spookay) I mostly used lucario with the metronome(item) and aura sphere spam, dealt damage with one of her dragon types using my swanna with the ice gem + icebeam strategy and with flygon's dragon fang boosted dragon claw to her haxorus. (Edit): this was not my remach team, my rematch team was: -Tyranitar(Godzillah) -Wailord(Flababy) -Black Kyurem -Serperior -Flygon -Lucario The strategy this time was a rock gem for tyranitar, a dragon gem for flygon, the same metronome strategy for lucario, ice gem for wailord and black kyurem with the nevermeltice which came in clutch when fighting with her haxorus (cuz I forgot it had focus sash)

I really like the touch when a Pokemon is sleep the eyes are closed That's so freakin' cool!

When I battled Iris in white 2 she beat me 7 times. All those times I was stuck on Haxorus, I could OHKO everything but Haxorus, had to do a strategy by using Me First to defeat it.

I just love how Black 2 and White 2 had the Easy and Challenge Modes. If only they implemented that into the Sword and Shield.

I fought iris just two days ago with a mono grass team, and the only reason I won is a maractus with sucker punch, otherwise her haxorus would've swept me with a dragon dance boosted X-scissor

My team in White 2 was Samurott Unfezant Watchog Azumarill Sroutland Liepard They were literally the first six Pokemon that I encountered and catched in the game then I changed my team after the main story and I did a more balanced team: Samurott Unfeazant Electivire Lucario Chandelure Flygon

I love how iris pulls a lance and dosent only use dragons. But with lance it felt and was forced. As for Iris it was cool and fun. And non were used by lance! Aggron,Lapras and Archeops are perfect. Bonus for not getting destroyed by rock types
