They really did kept the original team, which meant Candice had that Medicham, Volkner had Octillery and Ambipom, and half of Flint's team possibly ain't even a Fire-type

You're right about the flint one, he still got steelix and loppuny there. Aaron also had garbage team. I wonder why the kept the d/p team Like, the platinum one is much better, more difficult, gym and elite 4 makes sense, even (iirc) this game is using the platinum dex? Why d/p team? I personally haven't played pokemon pearl, and haven't finished pokemon diamond playthrough Because my first game was platinum and i stopped my diamond playthrough at the spear pillar.

i personally like their old teams, because Volkners Octillery is a counter to ground types, Medicham a counter to fighting types and Flints Steelix is good against rock types and some ground types i just like hard battles so the rules they are supposed to have dont really matter (though, Candices Abomasnow and Froslass are a better combo than having a Snover)

Before anyone complain about the DP teams the elite four will have 2 rematch teams the first will be with their platinum team and second a brand new one All the gym leaders will have BRAND NEW teams on POST GAMR and you also you will be able to battle them on BATTLE TOWER, the gym leaders will have MULTIPLE TEAMS on the battle tower some of them will have legendary pokemon.

@@MrCat-ym2sf on the rematches the gym leaders will use competive strategies Volkner will have a Pelliper on the rematch battle to set up rain with drizzle for power up the water moves on laturn and raichu(surf)

In the Gen I and Gem II remakes they changed the teams. Giovanni has a Rhyhorn instead of a Rhydon for some reason and Claire has a Gyarados instead of a Dragonair for example. And in HGSS most of them had the levels changed like Whitney was one level lower and Pryce was a few levels higher. Only small changes but they helped improve the game and still seemed like remakes even if they weren't exactly the same.

Maylene and her Lucario were the hardest. Took her down on my first try using Gligar, but it was a tough battle. Had to put down Lucario to sleep using Swablu's Lullaby. She was throwing a hyper potion after a hyper potion.

I love these videos soooo much, however the only thing I dislike is that you have the affection thing going on. I know it’s actually pretty difficult to not have it in some of these games, but it honestly is a major distraction for me. Either way, I’m still gonna watch lol

Just an Opinion: i think the gym battles are Ok, sure not having the Platinum teams can be a minor setback but we at least they'll be used in their rematches, the thing that really bugs me here is the affection thing from Let's go...kinda makes everything, too easy, other than that, everything is fine

they prettied up and polished all of roarks animations for the trailers and it shows when you compare him to some of the others. in themselves though those are some nice animations. feels like volkner (and maybe maylene) are the only other ones whose animations are smooth and clean as well as personality fitting where everyone else is getting there personality wise but kinda janky and stuttery in terms of positioning and fluidity. bit disappointed in how generic candice was.

What I find in BD is that most of my Pokémon were a higher level than most of the gym leaders that I battled against and I had the type advantage against all of them.
