That is the sad reality of most of these boxes. Its best to keep them sealed and buy the cards you want on the secondary market.

Charizard EX is a pretty solid card to build a deck around. 1 thing I see players doing on live however is relying too heavily on Charmander to ramp up their energy early game. It just doesn't have the hp to keep the extra energy there next turn for the rare candy

@@royalillest I wish you the best of luck on building it. Remember to test against difficult match ups so you can find ways to cover weaknesses against other plays. And dont be afraid to try different cards to see if you can find strong combos. I run Cien Pao ex on tcg live. Its a strong competitor due to type advantage as well as aggressive opens. Interruption can help early game against it, but I play around that by spamming out energies across my pokemon. Having something that can punish energy spam will help a lot in late game against decks like mine

I have a pretty gross quad char ex and quad char that relies mostly on rare candies and search trainers/ mixed with a bidoof/pidgeot ex and you're set super early, don't even need to energy build as infernal reign will give you the energy you need
