Main goal of these video concept ideas:
My main goal for these kind of videos is to be as creative as possible!
Let me explain:
- Firstly, my very first channel Mixeli (But also my latest one Volipok) post tons of Gameplays from Every Generation (Which once again was played and recorded by myself in it's entirety. It took me many years of works.)
My video have Educational Value and let me explain why: It does provide help to the user who watch the video. One of the few example for that is which musics is played from my gameplays. It could easily be found on video cards (The exclamation mark "!" you see on the video above at the right) and vice versa. (This mean that on this video for example, you could also find my actual battle gameplays of where this music is played)
- Secondly, My video are transformative enough, I took the time to play the game and recording the musics. I took the time to improve it's original quality using Vegas Pro. Thanks to a program called "Track EQ" that you can find on Vegas Pro.
This program allow the user to enhance it's original quality and further improving it. This need concentration as each version has different audio quality.
- Thirdly and as you have noticed: On each Generation, I use different background that I bought on a website called Shutterstock. (Which I have bought at least 336 pictures background, just so I can become as creative as possible and also work on a lot of different style using those background)
This kind of concept was created by myself since 2011. Today it has become one of the main concept of my channel that I personally created.
- Lastly is to bring the community together. I have noticed that so many people are commenting and giving their opinions on the video, sharing their experience about characters from the game, confirming theory, saying funny stuff and I find this extremely amazing and interesting! I don't want their comment to be unnoticed so I have plan for the future of my content about commenting and sharing their experience on videos that I will produce one day!

i love how most of the other gym leader music in the pokemon franchise and feels kind of upbeat and triumphant, but this music has a real sense of intensity and "oh shit, i might lose" to it. it's really unique and is definitely a huge contribution to why these are my favorite games in the series.

I think it helps that Johto has, overall, the toughest gyms in the series (in my opinion at least), so this music really fits with getting Stomped by Whitney's Miltank, or Clair's Kingdra Dragon Pulseing you to death, or Morty's Gengar putting you to sleep and then blasting your health bar to bits with Shadow Ball.

Yes, this theme actually defines a "Gym Battle" which is supposed to be very tough and intense. Even though the other themes are upbeat, they just lack the intense vibe that a Gym Leader Battle should have

I also noticed that in terms of music, HG/SS are the very games that invested A LOT in music. That one route that has the best route music, the sound of the character's footsteps that sound grassy when walking in grass and more, the Gym Leader music, the Champion theme, even the Team Rocket theme in these games sound so goooood. They invested a lot of music in these games.

The only thing I can address to game freak for being bad regarding the OST of HGSS is that they're overused throughout the game (example the ruins of alph OST or the red ost, which pisses me off is the lancers one too bacause going completely blind into the game I really didn't remember hearing that in the Lancer fight and I thought GF made it just for the last red bossfight.)

This is still the best gym leader theme. Has that sense of urgency and drama, that this is a challenge. And going back and playing GSC on Virtual console, gym battles actually used to be just that. A challenge. For me in Johto it was never Whitney, It was Clair spamming Thunder Wave and Morty spamming Shadow Ball.

Edited: Yes HG/SS has amazing soundtrack, probably as good as Gen 5, also the D/P/Pt soundtrack has grown on me A LOT (I had an issue with it's soundfont but ig views change on growing up), it's pretty solid.

@@zinmayoo6800 I really wish I grew up in the gen 4 days but I wasn’t a thing until around the release of diamond and pearl and never cared about gaming until 2016 and didn’t start playing Pokémon untill 2019... I went back to all the ds games on my 2ds (because my new Nintendo 3ds xl got traded at GameStop for a switch...)... note, before I got my 2ds after a couple years with no 3ds I had never touched a Pokémon game other than Pokémon go... but when I got my 2ds, I played Pokémon Y, I loved that game, then I played ORAS, and had a great time with that too! Then I tried ultra sun and had a fun time as well! But then I had no games to play so I went and got a copy of Pokémon platinum, it was challenging, but it was also fun! One of the best games I’d ever played! Then I played soul silver version and that was just as good! Then I played white version 2 and it was amazing as well! But the time that all these games were the latest in the series had been long gone as I started playing in 2019... over that year I learned almost everything there is to know about Pokémon, the only games I haven’t played have been the original ruby, sapphire, and emerald... and fire red or leaf green... because I didn’t really want to play the original gen 1 on virtual console... the only thing keeping me from finishing every game besides the 2 that I don’t want to play is the fact that I don’t own and have never owned a GBA... my uncle has one but it broke lol... the only games I haven’t played besides gen 1 and 2 that are available to me are the original black/white and the original sun/moon... like I said, I learned so much playing gens 4-7! Then I open up Pokémon sword and it just didn’t feel the same... too easy, not many of my favorites were in the game besides mew (shaymin, Miltank [though this did get added later on], deerling, and more)... the online didn’t feel the same, the game just looked unfinished... not to mention I couldn’t pet my Pokémon, and that my favorite game mechanic ever mega evolution wasn’t in the game but instead this dumb dynamax thing...

This theme feels a lot more intense than other gym themes. A lot of the others give off a " you've got this!" vibe, while this one feels much more "don't get cocky now!" which fits in with leaders like Bugsy or Whitney being generally some of the hardest in the series. I fought Pryce with a team of pokemon entirely weak to ice as a kid, and I distinctly remember this theme adding to the tension

gengar doesn't know dream eater. It has shadow ball, hypnosis, sucker punch and mean lock. Which means you can simply wait until you wake up while using a status move so that sucker punch will fail. The only pokemon with the hypnosis + dream eater combo is haunter and kenya is faster after evolving to fearow. Aaand ... gengar has 110 base speed xp

Yeah, the fight actually became easier in Gen4. Especially if you have insomnia!noctowl. It is immune to anything they can throw at you except sucker punch which is physical, fails if you don't attack and only has 5 pp. it makes the whole gym so free, lol xD

Come on, Falkner is a good kid, his arguments with Janine about whos dad is cooler are adorable. Price calls you to tell you about randon little things that happened to him like you're his grandchilds, which is very sweet. Johto gym leaders were tough. Falkner's Pidgeotto crushed my team twice. Bugsy's Scyther almost killed my team. Whitney's Miltank was taken down by Machop, fortunately for me. Morty's Haunter took down most of my team, the Mean Look + Hypnosis + Dream Eater is a nasty combo. And Clair, she was by far, the worst. I ran out of all my healing items, there was about 20 bottles of Fresh Water and I had to use all of them. Kingdra was hard as hell. Speaking of the Elite Four, only two of my pokemon survived Karen's Houndoom. I stood no chance against Lance.

you know, this kingdra .... has an integrated crit button. Whenever I try to stall it out of Hydro Pump PP (which is SUPPOSED to work as the move only has 5 pp) 2 things happen. 1. it hits 5 out of 5 times which is not a big deal. X Special Defend FTW 2. it criticals with the last one effectively screwing up my increased special defense and my entire strategy. This happens like 7 out of 10 times. xD

Not only that, but those Dragonairs also spams Thunder Wave like a madman. Then she'll refuse to give the badge because she got butthurt for losing. I hated Claire so much.

I mostly agree with you, although i would swap the places of gen 4 and gen 2. i would also move gen 1 up 3 places and gen 6 at the bottom. actually let me display my rankings in my opinion: Favorite: 1.) Gen Two; Johto 2.) Gen Four; Sinnoh 3.) Gen Three; Hoenn 4.) Gen One; Kanto (But the gen 2 and 4 Kanto gym leader theme slaps) 5.) Gen Seven; Alola 6.) Gen Five; Unova 7.) Gen Six; Kalos Least Favorite:

Just like Sinnoh, these gym leaders were all difficult to some degree. Except Pryce. He was easy, lol. But on the other seven, at some point in my life with those games I’d struggle.
