This was one of the first songs I ever covered on my KZfaq channel, and I think a remake has been long overdue. I'm very proud of this arrangement, especially of the mix in this tune! Getting all the layers at an audible level was very challenging, but I'm glad it this came out the way it did! Massive thanks to SungHa, a fellow entering student at Berklee, for contributing some cello parts to this! It's amazing how adding a single cello made some sections sound as if there were a full string section underneath all the other instruments!

It's something that I emulate, yes. Michael Brecker is my favorite saxophonist, and I've likened his tone to a laser beam, since he doesn't really use vibrato in his fast playing. Sometimes it is hard to not use vibrato, but it is something that I had to consciously practice :)

Temporal Tower followed by Temporal Spire ending with Dialgia Fight to the Finish. Why not add Through the Sea of Time, Hidden Land and Hidden Highland before Temporal Tower to get the full ending. And how could I forget about Don't Forget and the Credits theme after Dialgia Fight to Finish.

the first game is one of the only ones to mix dark and happy perfectly explorers and gates were even darker the one no one cares about was way happier and super was... a gen 6 game alright

When I heard the demo of this, I was just so floored by everything. Seeing the video just brings it out even more. SUNGHA'S INTONATION. THE BLEND BETWEEN CELLO AND BASS, SAX AND MELODICA, ETC. Oh geez this song takes me back to a time in which baby Psy was always playing his favorite game on his GameBoy Advanced, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team. I will forever have a deep connection to that title. I wasted so much time in my life exploring that vast world, conquering most dungeons that I found before me. This song brings those fantastic, carefree memories from my youth back into my mind. Thank you for this remarkable cover.

I have gotten back into Pokémon Mystery Dungeon lately (I loved the soundtrack and story in Blue Rescue Team and Explorers of Time/Sky) since I heard that a Great Canyon "remix" comes in Super Mystery Dungeon. This remake comes just in time to feed my jazz music needs, amazing work as always :D Also just watched Pokémon XY&Z EP. 20, (I'm catching up with the latest episodes in the series) and man, the feels. T_T

Dislikes are actually beneficial to a KZfaq video, surprisingly! As I understand it, KZfaq really cares about the number of engagements on a video, like the number of times someone clicks like, comments, or even clicks dislike. While obviously you don't want dislikes, they still boost your engagement numbers.

Mmmm. The nostalgia. I grew up with Mystery Dungeon, and while I don't play it as much anymore, I have a lot of good memories from the series. Explorers of Sky was a great installment (especially with the Juice Bar), and the Sky Tower was a fun little part of the game as well. Thanks for bringing me back to the past, friend. Appreciate it.

This song is one of the only songs that can make me cry. I really didn't want to finish PMDRRT 'cause that'd mean abandoning the partner pokemon, and I loved that game, and everything about it. 'Course it all works out in the end, but the feels were real man. Sometimes they still are.

This is such a sick cover, but I just have to say it's a crying shame more people haven't heard the SM64 Green Stars romhack version of this song for the wing cap. That version does some snazzy things with the melody that i wish were in more covers.

My god, that really brought back some of the best memories of my childhood from that game. The feels were really flowing in this piece! SungHa was also amazing as well, the cello fit into the song really nicely. It seems like you really enjoyed making this video, it really shows in the quality of your work. .Someone else mentioned a cover ofTemporal Tower, and I completely agree with that, it'd be kinda like a spiritual successor to this video!

Ahh. Nostalgia. Even though I died a lot (thankfully I came prepared with reviver seeds), the music was always a nice touch of the stage of what makes it special, even though you know you won't return, it gives a hopefully feeling. And as always Carlos, you capture the sheer amazing song with a touch of jazz. Now that's talent, sir.

I admit, I don't have a lot of experience with Pokemon Mystery Dungeon (i.e. this is the only song I know), but it's such an awesome song! Your work on this cover has really paid off! :D
