Technically, there has never been an instance of a Grass starter starting of as a quadruped and turning bipedal in evolution. They've either been bipedal from the start and stayed that way (Treecko, Chespin, Rowlet, Grookey) or they start of quadrupedal and stay quadrupedal (Bulbasaur, Chikorita, Turtwig, also Grookey). Grookey kind of falls into the middle since (being an ape) it can stand on two legs but often moves on all fours. Snivy is an anomaly since it's a bipedal snake that literally loses it's legs in evolution.

I love my meowscarada too it is pretty fast and hits pretty hard and it was my first female starter and I named it mittens after one of my family cats

I love Meowscarada, and I could care less if future starters turn out humanoid. I personally really like the humanoid starters, because they just look so much cooler.

It's entirely possible they have no relation to each other and their bloodlines merge later on down the line and leads to Cynthia.

Ooooo, sprigatito's final form could be based on a wrestling good guy, grass fighting to oppose the fire dark. People have already speculated it'll be some sort of swashbuckling grass fighting.

Arceus almighty I'm trying my best to not tear up after seeing that comic! Seeing that comic is just so heartbreaking! It's just a STAB to the heart (WHY DID I HAVE TO MAKE THAT PUN?!?! I'M TRYING NOT TO CRY AND NOW I'M SAD _AND_ MAD!!!), it feels just like whenever I see the fanart of Ahsoka Tano in regards to Anakin's turn to the dark side (one of the fan comics has her meeting Luke, saying that she wishes he could've met Anakin and not Vader, but then breaks down crying when Luke tells her that he came back to the light and that he _did_ get to meet him. The other is an image depicting her during Star Wars Rebels hugging Vader as she cries, with words in the top right corner saying "I won't leave, not this time." It breaks my heart every time I end up seeing those). ARRRRGGGGGGGGHHHH!!!! Now I'll never see that moment in the game in the cave with Ingo the same again!! When (not if, I do plan on obtaining a Palkia in an Origin Ball as well) I play the story again and get to that point I might _actually_ starting crying!! And the worst part is that I don't think we can really blame Volo for it too! From the sounds of it Ingo had already been there for enough time that he likely would've had to take some kind of tests with the Pearl Clan to become a Warden, tests that would have required being there _much_ longer than we had been! *ARCEUS DAMN IT!!!!! I'M GONNA MURDER WHATEVER ULTRA BEAST OR OTHER ENTITY FOR DOING THAT TO POOR EMMET!!!!!!*

Just saying, if Ingo makes it back to roughly the same time as he left, there's a good shot Emmet would never know he was gone without being told

@@skylergarza8371 I suppose that would be the "good" ending (if you ignore the new age difference between the two...depending on how long Ingo has been there before returning). But it's just too easy to think about the bad ending. I could even see Emmet going into full on depression and starting doing some of the things like resorting to trying to drink his sorrow away, tiredly searching for his brother until his demise, pushing away anyone else he's close to due to despair, or (and Arceus forbid this one happen) possibly take his own life (just _thinking_ that made me want to cry, and _writing_ it just broke the dam). If time flows in parallel then the bad ending is a guarantee...and I don't like the bad ending at all, it's just too depressing (Arceus almighty! This game just keeps giving more and more reasons for why it is the most mature Pokémon game! Death, overbearing skepticism, Pokédex entries like Snorlax and Basculegion, Volo's insanity, powerful animals attacking you, and then you add in this deeper theory that isn't hard to start thinking about and it really proves just how much more mature of an audience this game seems to be made for)

The best possible ending, happiness for both of them and since they're twins they keep their similar ages, etc. They deserve as much

I hoped we would’ve gotten Legends DLC. Imagine at the end of the dlc, you and Ingo get to go back to the present, and while Ingo stays in the Present with his bro, the protagonist can go back and forth. Someone in Jubilife Village can replace Ingo when it comes to rematches. I want my boy Ingo to be happy with his bro. I do find it messed up that Arceus keeps you in the past even after you catch it. The protagonist’s family and friends in the present must be worried sick about them.

Sure, you got your friends and the Galaxy Team, but the protagonist likely had a life before Legends’s story. I was personally disappointed that Gen 9 was announced this early because I wanted GameFreak to focus on Legends a bit more with actual dlc. Imagine in this theoretical dlc, they added the island that’ll eventually become the Battle Resort, and the Distortion World. Maybe we can get an actual storyline in the dlc where the protagonist and Ingo try to find a way home, with Ingo also wanting to recover from his amnesia, and Volo returns, either seeking revenge or atonement. I would totally pay for a dlc like this for Legends, but GameFreak is focusing on Gen 9, and I’m worried they’ll rush it. At least with Legends they took a bit more time with it.

i havent played arceus yet, but is it ever revealed *why* ingo was sent back? the protagonist was sent back because arceus needed to stop volo, but why was ingo sent back? And can arceus even send people forward in time? isnt that dialga's whole thing? maybe ingo and rei/akari could go on a journey to find their way home in a potential dlc.

Badger isn't on the zodiac. If the first evolution doesn't fit makes the zodiac theory wrong, Fuecoco proves it wrong. If the final form of Fuecoco can prove it right if it becomes a snake, then Typhlosion ended it back in Gen 2. Fox as dog is a stretch, but badger being the rat is ridiculous. I was into the theory originally, but Fuecoco kind of put the last nail in that coffin

That would be a cool idea, but it would slow the progression of the game if they make you do all of the gyms. They could only have the league require 8, which would balance it out. I would love to see this though, and it could make it so that each playthrough is a different experience.

That is such a good idea! This way you can replay the game multiple times and never have to worry about getting bored with the same few battles

They could base fucoco off of baryonyx/Vallibonavenatrix/Camarillasaurus/Iberospinus Probably baryonx as it's the most well known and iberospinus was discovered this year or late last year (I forget) and valio was discovered 2019 Camarillasaurus is possible but put into spinosaur family in 2021 So baryonx is probably what it will be based on if not a snake Because baryonx has a croc like face and the way fucoco stands is similar to the dinosaur.

Yes. The fact that Diamond and Pearl physically got delayed, and idk why Gen 5 wasn't 3 years. But the fact that we've had brand new Pokemon stuff for something like 20/26 years was kind of off putting. If they took more time the product could be better. See how in the Gen 4 delay era that's considered some of the best times for the TCG, the video game spin offs as well as the anime also have loads of "watch out for these cool new stuff". Like sure I get that money will always be the driving factor, but when the quality seemingly is so hit or miss, you'd figure maybe taking a year off might do them good? Slow down the production schedule so that it's every 4 years. As Mikey proved 2020 was a hell of a year.

I think the extra year in delay could have been because of the story they wanted for black and white. Which, good for them, it is a super cool story. And theres also the thing where black and white had no pokemon of any other region for a while in the game. I think reprocessing pokemon that's already been made would be easier than creating a whole thing entirely new.

I'm hoping for Fairy if for no other reason than Kingdom Hearts and Sora's got his dog (Granbull/Zacien) and Keyblade (Klefki) but there's no fairy type duck yet so he can't have Donald join the team.

While there are similarities dragons aren't reptiles. Even in classic legends the reference to dragons being cold blooded was about their temperament not their biology. Not trying to be critical here just spreading lore trivia.

@@aldercyng7287 I guess it’s cuz foxes are still canines, would be the same if they did a fire donkey or zebra starter instead of a horse. They give themselves some creative liberty but still stick close enough to the original Chinese zodiac animal, but if Fuecoco isn’t serpentine at all when it evolves then the theory is disproven.

Right? I still think it will evolve in something that resembles the Mayan/Aztec god Quetzalcoatl, a feathered serpent with a crocodilian like head and fused with the hot pepper theme. Fuecoco has some yellow feathery things in his head already. Maybe it will be Fire/Flying in the final stage.
