Nice work, DarlingJack! You've really transformed the sound of the Gym Leader battle theme in a way that's fresh, fun, and cute! The instrumentation really adds a touch of playfulness to the theme, transforming it from a piece that's bold and slick into something upbeat and lighthearted. I really love the synth you're using for the lead melody (the part that's usually sung by the crowd vocals), and that portamento effect works especially well with those big note jumps. The harmonies are nicely done, too as well as all the subtle flourishes, like those quick runs at 0:59 - those sound so nice! The bass has a great rhythm and drive to it, too, and it can be heard well throughout, even on smaller speakers. And my goodness, that slap bass at 1:28 - too good! It feels like a hallmark feature of the song, and I'm stoked that you included it in your remix! ^_^ As usual, fantastic work with the percussive elements! The drums are bright and punchy, and the use of different cymbals really ties it all together, with the crashes, open, and closed hats. The articulation in the drums needs to be mentioned, as well, with the variety of velocities used for emphasis on certain notes. Also, I have to mention that the way you had your remix end in a manner that's parallel to the original is just perfection. I was truly amazed when I realized that the Gym Leader Battle theme is programmed to end with that resolute finish after the last Pokemon has been knocked out, and the way you arranged it here is an amazing reference to that! I feel that this piece is going to pick up a lot of steam, and very soon. Although I unfortunately couldn't make the premiere, I feel lucky to be part of the "here before this blew up" club! 😁 For real, though, this was a delight to listen to, and once again, excellent work! 🌟

Listening to this, I was a little dissapointed that it was just the terrastal theme, but it's a very good remix of that part
