This video shows how to get all Gift Pokemon that you can receive from certain characters or events in Pokemon Sword and Shield for Nintendo Switch.
00:00 Grookey, Scorbunny or Sobble

03:51 Dracozolt, Arctozolt, Dracovish, Arctovish (Fossilized Fish and Drake are more common in Shield, while Fossilized Bird and Dino are more common in Sword, but you can still get all Fossils from the Digging Duo, especially from the Skill guy)
08:29 Charmander (after defeating the Champion Leon)
09:24 Type: Null
10:25 Eevee and Pikachu (if you have save data for Let's Go Eevee and Let's Go Pikachu on your console)
Mew
11:41 Mew (if you have an unused Poké Ball Plus)
12:42 Meowth (Mystery Gift until January 15, 2020)

FYI: The fossil Pokémon in this gen are a reference to how early British paleontologists knew very little about dinosaurs and often "reconstructed" dino skeletons by accidentally putting bones from two different species together.

While the reference is important and cool the idea in design wasn't the best. Besides they could have done a rivalry since in the UK there were dinosaurs such as baronyx and iguanadon living close together. So while that reference was important in a game like this it's not really wanted. After all 90% play because you battle monsters extinct or not

There are also 2 more gift pokémon if you bought the twin pack. A Jangmo-o for sword and a Larvitar for shield. The codes will give a special type of wishing stone that is used in your inventory causing a max raid battle to spawn inside the watchtower in the wild area.

Pretty sure every one of them is in constant pain except Dracozolt. Arctovish has its head on backwards, Arctozolt is just bloody ridiculous and Dracovish can't even run and breathe at the same time.

The theory is that since it's a chimera meant to be a sort of Arceus clone, the first form's power is incomplete. It evolves with high friendship into Silvally breaking its power limiter and changing into it's true form. The power of friendship in pokemon has always been commented on in every gen. Slowly they have given us physical and power examples and soon they'll come a generation where that is the key aspect of the game to saving the universe. One day...

Thanks to this video....I now sorta wish I would've gone with either Grookey or Sobble since I found Charmander and gave him a ton of Candies to have him evolve into Charizard, which is one of my favorite fire types ever....Charizard and Arcanine.

I like how the cinematic with the three starters shows the strengths and weaknesses of each one. Sobble spouting water at Scorbunny; a wet Scorbunny tries to dry off and accidentally smacks into the branch Grookey is on, causing Grookey to fall into the water and giving Sobble a scare.

-SKY- of Wonderland I mean, theres two pokemon you get for free, one of which is your starter, during the game Then another 2 postgame which isnt that bad since its postgame Then fossils, which have always been free Then ones that you get as rewards for ordering the game when it came out or having previous games of the series Its not that much

Firered and greenleaf gave you your starter, an eevee, hitmonlee/hitmonchan, a lapras, 2 fossils and togepi so that's always been a thing. BW2 even gave you 13 pokemon so

Don't even act like this is a lot. As someone previously mentioned here, other games give you a LOT more for nothing. And when you count the in game trades (which are practically gifts since they only ever ask for trash) there's even more in previous games.

The Eevee you get in the train station can't evolve. But you can catch wild Eevee and wild Eeveelutions in other parts of the game.

I've used the Toxel and Ditto breeding trick someone did a video of and used that to breed an Eevee and a Ditto....And it WORKED! I hatched an Eevee on the first try! ^^ And I'm so close to completing the Eeveelution collection! I just need an Umbreon and an Espeon!
