I'd like something similar to this to return in future Pokemon games. I actually enjoyed looking around for the Digletts, plus the rewards were a really good incentive. They ought to bring this idea back and make it so you can get other Pokemon from previous generations, and then have a huge reward after 100% completion of the side-quest like getting to go to a special area to catch a legendary Pokemon from a previous generation or something. Hell, put in multiple Pokemon hunting sidequests that all end with a chance to catch a legendary from another generation, it'd be a great for players I'd bet!

DISCLAIMER: You don’t have to participate in the raid to get the shiny Zeraora reward, you only need to have Pokémon home when the distribution begins so you can receive it. Edit: So guys, we did it, 1 million people have defeated Zeraora. Distribution will begin on June 29 so be sure to have Pokémon home on your phone ready to receive your gift!

Kai Connelly you need to have Nintendo online to put it in your switch. Just get Pokémon home on phone first and then connect it with the switch version and transfer

Here's a tip for those who want to defeat Shiny Zeraora! Use a ground-ghost or ghost-steel pokemon to endure Zeraora's attacks! One with good defense, I personally use Runerigus which also learns haze, haze debuffs Zeraora when it uses work up or max knuckle so, just hope that your teammates use a good pokemon!!!

Barely managed to beat it thanks to another player helping me out. I'm just really sad I'll never get to thank him or her for the assist. Still, I hope that person will get a Zeraora. After the help they gave me they absolutely bloody well deserve one! Hope you get one too, and can't wait for Crown Tundra and all those legendaries!

Will you have to use the nintendo switch pokemon home or phone pokemon home to get the shiny zeraora? I could only do nintendo switch pokemon home....

Sadly you cant catch a normal Zeraora. (Unless you have it from a gift you got in the pokemon game that gives a Zeraora to you). As well as you cant catch Zeraora in max raid battles (just like the lvl. 100 Mewtwo max raid) since it would kinda be stupid to catch a lot of Zeraoras to either trade or something like that. So you have to accept the shiny Zeraora.

I have a lvl 100 Cinderace. I counter 3 5 stars shiny Zeraora from three different locations. I couldn't beat it with the npcs. My plan is a high lvl ground type pokemon to defeated it. On 5 stars shiny Zeraora, I know three out of four moves it use that are Fire Punch, Outrage and Plasma Fist
