We break down a build of one of the most successful and highly played decks in the format right now - Pikachu and Zekrom GX! We also take a look at the basic concepts of deck building, and break down the process for players who are new to the game!

This is a great guide for one of the best decks in the current Standard format. Good on you for not using ADP/Zacian as your choice to demonstrate! Really great video! Another great deck for those starting out is Centiscorch Vmax. It's not prohibitively expensive to build, it's very straight-forward, but has a great wealth of potential for amazing plays and versatility. Its design is such that it's not too difficult to play, and it has enough room for different tech cards to suit the player's choice.

ADP is a great deck, but Pikarom seemed like a much better example for this video. Thanks for watching!

I don’t understand tho, like are we not able to use more regular Pokémon anymore, like can you not use Regular pikachus? Do they have to be ex or gx?

you cab use 4 of any one type of pokemon. they can be any pokemon card. Not sure what you mean by regular pikachus

I would have rather had some discussion about the actual basics and maybe some theory in order to give people the tools to build a deck. Someone who is brand new won't get that much out of this video. If you've already played a bit you can learn a few things from this video, mainly how some of these cards could help someone already experimenting, but other than that it's just a deck review. Maybe rename the video.
