Can I beat Pokémon X as a Hardcore Nuzlocke using only the EEVEELUTIONS?
(Probably, those guys are awesome!)
Eevee, and his evolutions, are some of the coolest pokemon, and the best designed ones. After playing through SInnoh using only eeveelutions, I decided to do the same here in Kalos just to see if I could. After all, Kalos is the land of evolution, so what better place to show off the power of Eevees?

Hardcore Nuzlocke Rules:
1) Only Catch The First Pokémon On Each Route
2) If A Pokémon Faints, I Cant Use Them
3) No Items In Battle
4) Set Mode

I think it might be cool to see a normal type eeveelution... Sounds weird I know, but think about it from a lore perspective, It could be a regional forme in a Legends game, It could be the origin of all the other eeveelutions

@@r.w.5283 maybe lvl up with no friendship/affection boost? Could be done by giving them the herbs so they don't love you too much whilst lvling up (this is so it doesn't conflict with espeon, umbreon, or sylveon)

Awesome video Enjoy this series Hope Gen 7 and 8 you allow for the Z Move and G-Max Eevee gimmicks There's some SV dialogue that hints Penny is from Galar so can maybe incorporate that Also maybe HGSS where you allow for Leafeon and Glaceon in Ilex Forest and Ice Patch respectively to see if can get to Red Also I think has already been done but Infinite Fusion with Eeveelution fusions would be cool too

I was thinking that it is a single mega that all eeveelutions evolve into that changes its type based on what went in. The mega would be different colors based on the base type but would have some combined physical attributes of all of them.

Omg I've never seen that ghost design before! A sheet over cute lil black feet and tail is such an adorable design and simple enough it fits as an eeveelution. Most fan ones I see feel too overdesigned..but I love that one so much Lol so true though that the main city of Kalos is so confusing! Everyone relates..I spent so much time being lost in it and confused why people could walk around with the power out but I couldn't

I would love to see a dragon eevee, since the eeveelutions are all based on the types that were "special" previous gen 4 I don't know why we never had one before. Still I would love a 130 Att 110 Speed fluffy murder machine

The joke the mom makes about it being a love letter always rubs me the wrong way. Think about it. You move to a new region where youve just barely spent maybe 24 hours in your home and all of the sudden youre forced to go on a journey because said letter writer givesvyou a pokemon and pokedex? What is his intentions with my mother? Why does he want me out the house so bad hes willing to give me a pokemon and a valuable piece of technology that I in real life would more than likely break? And she has the audacity to joke about it being a love letter? Pretty suspicious if you ask me lmao

It's not an official game but if you're into fangames a pokemon insurgence run would be fun! It has the mega eevee you were so desperately searching for throughout this video :)

Honestly I think separating Friendship and Affection was a good call cause then you could play the game without having the overpowered affection abilities

it was intentional it was similar to kanto with the snorlax same to santalune forest being the almost exact same with viridian forest. new era of pokemon for 3d they gave tribute to the beginnings.

Two of AZ's pokemon mention how they were protectors of an ancient kingdom in their Pokedex entries, though they're Unova pokemon and if Unova is New York and Kalos is France then I dunno how much sense it makes for AZ to have them. Torkoal is there because tortoises live a long time (probably not 3000 years though).

I used PKHex. Basically I would catch a wild Pokémon to get random stats and nature, then just turn it into an eevee.

Spectreon is the only acceptable name for a ghost-type eeveelution because of how awesome it is, I will die on this hill.

Great question! Mega Gyarados has mold breaker, which bypasses his water absorp.

I would prefer a Bug or Rock eeveelution because that allows a technical starter for each of those types.

I actually went into a rabbit hole during this video looking at a ton of fanmade eeveelutions. Some of them are pretty awesome.

Eh, why not just do all of them if you can? You've technically done SV already with your Penny playthrough, but it could be a decent challenge to do RBY with just the OG 3 (or 4, since technically Eevee is an Eeveelution (better question is, why hasn't there been a *normal* Eeveelution yet??) of a sort) or you could do a "Colosseum Run" in GSY and use only Espeon and Umbreon. All sorts of fun is viable with this. You could even do Single Eeveelution runs, though those would obviously not be Hardcore Nuzlockes, and more like your Ash runs where if you lose you restart the battle.

Personally I think you should have had your Starter Eevee have its Hidden Ability so you could a Pixelate Sylveon but that’s just me

I did consider going with hidden abilities, but I figured most of their abilities were good enough already. Of course pixelate is pretty awesome

@@NuzlockeJoe yeah I just had another look at them and most of the Eeveelutions other than Umbreon and Glaceon have pretty decent Abilities. Espeon’s Magic Bounce and Sylveon’s Pixelate are pretty big improvements to their standard Abilites. Some of the others are Weather based which works better for a Type based Nuzlocke. Vaporeon has Hydration which works with a Drizzle Rain Team and Leafeon has Chlorophyll which works on Sun teams. Flareon gets Guts which would help it for sure. Seems to be more of a toss up whether any Eeveelution needs their HA’s other than Espeon and Sylveon…

@@mtverv yeah that’s basically where I came from it too. I totally could have done hidden abilities, but most of them are already pretty useful. Especially being able to pivot into fire, water, or electric moves

I want poison and ground. If i wanted ri do a 6v6 eeveelution battle, there is currently nothing super effective against Jolteon or Sylveon, and nothing that Espeon is super effective against. Ground would be weak to Glaceon, Leafeon, and Vaporeon, but strong against Flareon and Jolteon. Poison would be weak to Espeon and strong against Sylveon After how useful Grafaiai was on mu Scarlet team, i want a poison eeveelution

I could see a poison. Ground, has always been one of my least favorite types so I'm probably just biased against them though.
