I think this is the most anxiety-inducing ostinato I've ever heard. Really wish this song were a bit longer/had more to it; it was a fantastic track.

The Battle CDs forever haunt me after I found a shiny Vigoroth in that one where you have two of them. I-I....I want it....;-;

Remember that challenge where you had Aerodactyl and you had to kill a Kyogre? My brother was shitting his ass off trying to beat that challenge

So catchy. This game had some great music. Miror B's battle theme was the best.

I love the metronome fight... I lost twice in a row because Machop used selfdestruct in both battles....

My favourite SIM was the one with baby Pokémon who knew only Metronome. I won on my first attempt, but it was so fun I kept playing it over and over again. Usually ended up losing. xD

My personal favorite Battle CDs are #17, the Ratatta that Roared (Level 5 vs Level 100) and #46, Operation Zero (Eevee and its five-at-the-time Eeveelutions vs Mew).

These can be really fun, especially if you know what you're doing. The Metrenome one is hilarious, too. I remember, a few years ago, my Togepi called Frenzy Plant with it! Needless to say, the opponent's Geodude was history. XD

I loved the battle CDs. They helped me learn a lot of the strategies used in Pokemon :]

don't forget the Virtualization intro where it "loads" the stage! i can almost imagine the scanner guy saying "Scanner: *your name here* Virtualization!" Y'know, Code Lyoko style.

Agreed! Before i used the battle CD's, i only had basic strategies for when i battled, when i used them, the CD's really helped me create more in depth techinques to use.

As soon as i started the game, saw the epic intro with shadow lugia, and then heard this awsum catchy song, i knew this whole game was gona be awsum XD

my fav sim battle was the one with the 6 shedinja's and the cacturne...its actually the only one i remember XD basically u have ONE turn to knock out six dudes n i was like wtf but all u had to do was use "Spikes" n everytime he sent out his new shedinja they would die n i won XD

the battle CDs were so much fun. i spent most of my time on them

I liked those SIM battles, it was like, a lesson in useful tactics =] Protect - Substitute | Use Gust when someone used Fly | Use an attack stab move instead of a powerful looking Thunderbolt (For a Ratata) I loved them =] And then the disc called: The Lucky Cup. Metronome, it performed the craziest moves: Splash, Protect, Zap Cannon, Psycho Boost, Aeroblast, Thunder. I was like OMFG!! xD Good old times, I would like to them all again, to check if I still know how those tactics work =]

@blackshadow148 So did I. I first played this game 5 years ago in a Toys R Us in Toronto, Canada as a Demo. On the same day, I got my folks to buy it (Game Cube and Game) for me. I plugged it in as soon as we got to my aunt's house. Once I played it and caught my first Shadow Pokemon... I just knew this game would be a whole different experience....

My fave is the one with Castform.

@pauldomort Yeah, a veteran fan's Pokémon game. You start off with a lvl 32 Starter and a team of at least 5 Pokémon, halfway through the gyms, but a whole new generation, like Generation VI, but farther ahead. That'd be cool. Hear that Nintendo?

@meowth900 I thought the salamence was his too. I thought for once, we would start off badass trainers. If you've been playing the games as long as I have, you deserve to have a level 40 at the beginning of the game, the pokemon you get are too pathetically weak for the true playing level you're at if you've played a Pokemon game before.

@pauldomort yeah, but one thing was that they offered you two items that could turn eevee into espeon or umbreon, but I wasn't really expecting anyone to use those, cuz chances are you've already played Colosseum, and you know where i'm going with that, although the espeon is understandable, as the umbreon from Colosseum was a higher level, so it hung in longer in a tough battle, but it couldn't really damage the pokemon much.

Yes, there's usually a couple of different ways to win the sim battles. You just have to be kinda creative in finding them.

Kind of wish this was the main battle music instead of the simulator music.

i used to have trouble with that cd where you had sneasel, snorlax and pikachu against a primeape. it took me like 100 tries to bring his ass down. The rest is another story.

They should create a wii u pokemon with all gens and x and y just like pokemon Xd and colosseum but allow you to catch wild pokemon along the way as well
