There was lots of things cut from XY including story elements that would have made the games 10x better than now but didn't make it because the game were rushed. So what they really need to do for the next game is take their time and not rush it.

T. Isaac They're never creating too many characters like in Kalos again that's one factor that makes Gen 8 more bearable by default

I feel like if they add a "Challenge Mode" (similar to BW2, only well, harder) so that the more experienced people (like me) will face a much harder challenge, if they were to have story telling along the side of Gen 5, and maybe be like Gen 5 and Gen 1 too in the sense that majority of Pokemon is completely new to make people (including experienced players) have to learn everything, from stats to typings and abilities will make the future main stream game much more enjoyable.

To me, Gen 6 isn't a let down. In the time they had to make a full transition to 3D, it is frankly amazing what they did. Everything in the region feels nice, the new type was well balanced for the most part. The map is good. Most Pokémon designs are excelent (heck, Greninja, Pyroar, Tyrantrum, Pangoro, Noivern are top notch, just to name a few). I feel like their mistake was never taking their time to do a Pokémon Z. Better balanced gyms and E4, maybe a different order, and a different champion (something like Champion Sycamore), new Megas and better used of the areas that felt somewhat empty (specially the post game). That in turn would have given them time to do a proper job with Gen 7. Alola has a good feel and a handful of good designs, and the plot is somewhat heart warming, but the handholding is real, and the games only last 50-70 hours because everything moves slow and there's a lot of back and forth. If they had a Pokémon Z with the Zygarde plot, SM could have come out as just USUM. Straight to the totem stickers, and have the different outcomes be version exclusive (Lillie or Gladion going to Kanto, Lusamine being or not good in the end, Champion Hau or Champion Kukui, a better end game with both Ultraspace and working with Looker) I love all gens equally but Alola is the one that feels the most like wasted potential to me. Kalos doesn't feel like it wasted potential, it feels like it was given up on, which is a lot sadder.

In Generations, Ep. 3, when he defeated the Elite Four, he settled on the Champion throne, so meaning, he recorded him and his pokemon to the hall of fame. Because, if I (and multiple people too) won the pokemon league, I wouldn't go sit down on the throne straight away, I would record myself in the hall of fame.

Platinum: found it a few days ago, and restarted for the heck of it (I think I was up to Crasher Wake before losing it) Soul Silver: Haven’t played in a while, but not beaten yet Black: Being my first Pokémon game, I didn’t know how Switch-training worked, so haven’t beaten the E4 in post-game, Emboar was strongest Pokémon, while the rest of team are around lvl 30 X: Swept Diantha with a Xerneas in my team, though I don’t remember using it in the actual battle Alpha Sapphire: Kyogre for most of the battle, then added Rayquaza in rematches Ultra Sun: I had no idea that Solgaleo could be caught before the League (though I caught Necrozma), but I didn’t use any Legendary. Wow

Play As Kirby And Win I only really do that if i just want to get a game over with for shiny hunting reasons or if I'm doing a Nuzlocke and I happen to have a legendary on my team.

I've beaten most of the champions without legendaries, but as I like to replay games, I have also beaten most of them with legendaries. Gonna beat Diantha for the first time without legendaries when I challenge the elite four in my mono-water playthrough.

I think the only time I used a legendary on the league was in Pokemon Black, but only because the legendary was Genesect (one of my favourites and one I got early in the story as well).

Play As Kirby And Win no I do the same I don’t ever use legendaries. Especially in the newer games where they’re a dime a dozen

To be honest after the totems, the battle with Ultra Necrozma and everything else that I had gone through, the elite four and champion battles just felt too easy and like a massive letdown. My team weren't overlevelled either, only my starter was level 60 and the rest were in the range of 57-59.

Never play these latest version but I can say the game has downgraded with time. When I fight Blue in Gen 3, hell he is super tough. And then gen 4 with Red. Holy shiet took too long to win. Nowadays the game just gets to easy.

They games have gotten easier since 4th gen, but have you ever battled ghetsis, iris, totem mimikyu, or ultra necrozma? These fights were WAY harder than blue or red, especially ghetsis
