I love how Failinks was the gen 8 rep. It would have been so easy to choose a more recognizable/traditional fighter like one of the Urshifus or grapploct.

I really wish Pokken had this kind of focus on Fighting Types. I love Primeape and Falinx in particular, so I love seeing them get their justice here.

Love the choice of using the Pokémon game cries instead of the anime ones, a shockingly rare thing for fan games. Plus having a rep for every generation, which seems like a no-brainer, until you remember that Type:Wild had 0 gen 2 reps, but had both Blaziken AND Combusken.

Fallinks is one of my absolute favorites from SwSh And, due to its composition and appearance, it can get pretty fun to design a moveset for Fallinks Didn't disappoint

As a seasoned casual fighting game player I am so proud that they refrenced moves from other fighting games like primeape uppercut being a refrence to sean's uppercut from both street fighter 3 2nd impact and 3rd strike and chesnaught's tackle refrencing urien's shoulder tackle and chesnaught's stance resembling t.hawk's stance and so much more. Maybe I am stretching but its hard not to find similiarities

@@jotasso21 Heracross are sexually dimorphic. Males have jagged horns that look made to impale, but females have "heart" shaped horns that seem more caring. The one in this game has hearts on its horn, meaning it's a girl

Dudeeeeee clean game. Hope add more characters (I think there are plenty of Pokemon to experiment diverse styles) and this game will rock it. Of course, if Nintendo doesn't fk this up. I'll be glad to see Conkeldurr, Hitmonchan and Hariyama.

I think they're currently working with one rep for each gen right now, Mienshao, Primeape and Blaziken already fill gens 5, 1 and 3

It would be so cool if they added a secret character by doing a special input in the choose character menu. Like for example annihilape would be awesome in game but we already have primeape. It could kind of be like akuma and ryu in street fighter, you do a few special in-outs and get a character that seems a little similar to primeape being annihilape.

This is AMAZING! And the spritework and animation is so beautiful too! I'd love to see what movesets they could come up with Staraptor, as it's my favorite, but poor bird ain't a fighting type lmao

This is so good! Interested to see the ff. Mons (only adding 1 per Gen): 1. Hitmonlee - I think its spring legs will be cool visually 2. Hitmontop - the Capoeira influence and the spinning top look will definitely be interesting 3. Medicham - it will be like Dhalsim 4. Gallade - Toxicroak is the only interesting Fighting type in this Gen so there's not much choices but I guess we can incorporate Gallade's slashing moves 5. Scrafty - it'll be fun if it kept holding its "pants" while fighting, or incorporate some headbutt moves 6. Hawlucha - I love Pangoro, but Hawlucha being posey and flashy like a Luchador will seem fun 7. Crabrawler - yeah it's not fully evolved, but it's interesting! Crabominable if it should only be fully-evolved Mons 8. Grapploct - by virtue of not having a humanoid anatomy, even if it's ugly

Love to see Poliwrath (as grab fighter like Zangief), Zapdos galar (fast fighter), Iron Valiant (as mixed melee and semi sword fighter), Quaquaval (dancer fighter like Eddie in Tekken), Mega Mewtwo X (as boss fighter like Rugal), Hitmonchan (boxing fighter like Balrog) Kommo-O (as heavy fighter), and Sirfetch (full sword fighter). I'd like to say "Lucario and Machamp too" but they're super popular and maybe under consideration.

Grappler Poliwrath would be fun, even though making it a standard grappler might be too close to Bewear’s moveset. I’m imagining what Heavenly Poliwrath Buster would be like, and that sounds great.

Galarian Zapdos was being voted on in their discord! Along with meloetta and Buzzwhole. Not a fan of buzzwhole personally I think the other two would be cooler. I like the idea of Quaquaval as a dance fighter since I think it’s based on capoeira. Personally I’d love to see Mega Lopunny because the jazzersize bunny would be really cool translated into a fighting game but given what people online have done to it… I doubt it would ever happen.

Outside of Blaziken I love how unexpected the roster is like I get it Blaziken was bound to be in it but we got Primape instead of Machamp and toxicroak instead of infernape or lucario and Falinks was completely unexpected and I love it he makes perfect sense seeing it in action as a puppet master type fighter

I thing they're sticking to 1 rep per gen for now, heracross is gen 2, depending on which gen you see hisui decidueye as, they have bewear for gen 7 and falinks for gen 8, and whilst paldean tauros could work for a gen 9 rep, primeape is the gen 1 rep and I think they would use a completely new pokemon from paldea, such as quaquavel

At this point, I'm wondering why the devs are doing this instead of a new, safe IP that can sell (if they wanna, that said). Game is amazing, art style is memorable and the game is decently balanced. This being a Pokémon game (which I love for sure) is still always under threat of any IP shenanigans. Respect for doing it out of straight love though

evolve Primeape to Annihiliape to represent Gen 9 and have Machamp or any Hitmon represent Gen 1.. its Ghost type wont gonna matter anyway coz there's Toxicroak and Heracross who resists Fighting normally
