Freeze dry is such an insane move to learn immediately in a single pokemon challenge

Yea, really. In that sort of challenge having type coverage can make a big difference, and ice moves have pretty good coverage on their own, but it having bonus coverage against water as well is super nice. It's a decently strong attack that can hit super effective against five types, and only hits weak against three. And he had it boosted with Nevermeltice from the beginning too. Even better since he had a fire type move for most of the run, and that covers two of the types that Freeze Dry hits weak against, (steel and ice). With just those two moves he had more than a third of the type chart covered. Of course, most pokemon aren't monotype so it's more complicated than that, but it's still insanely good coverage to have for pretty much the whole run.

11:20 Best way to put it is all mythicals are legendaries but all legendaries are not mythical. Mythical only requires the Pokémon to have needed external intervention to receive it, ie. celebi, shaymin, darkrai. Essentially if you as a human have to do something in the real world to get the Pokémon it is mythical. But again calling them legendary is still correct because they are, they are just a subclass of legendary.

You're not missing out on anything by not playing the new Pokemon games. Everything since X&Y has honestly just been trash. X&Y can be slightly tolerated since you can actually turn the EXP share off, but it still isn't good overall. Just tolerable.

Don't get me wrong, I actually enjoy playing X&Y. I played through it multiple times when it first came out. Although, I'm not ignorant enough to think that it's an objectively a good game. Infinitely better than all the games that came after it, but still not good.
