@@PJordan_ I usually just look up whatever levels the gyms are and grind my Pokémon up to that level or maybe 1 or 2 more levels, and I still have a hard time sometimes. It all depends on type advantages

I actually thought they were garbage remakes. The Devi islands sucked. Half the features in the game were only cool if you went to events etc. My goblet couldn't evolve until I beat the E4. The story barely changed.

@@TheStrengthClassroom You're judging them as remakes, but judging them as just video games shows just how amazing they are. The best sprites for the first 151 Pokemon, the text speed is just right, the music is AMAZING, the story is at least interesting, the hardest champion in the series excluding Cynthia, plenty of post-game quests to catch Gen 2 mons, Elite 4 Round 2, Vs Seeker...these games are amazing.

Today I learned fire red has custom border colors for shiny pokemon. Thats an amazing feature that helps when you can’t realize its a shiny immediately and didn’t see the ✨

When I was playing through LeafGreen, I taught my Alakazam Hyper Beam, thinking it would make a dangerous combination with Calm Mind. But it did pitiful damage to Koga's Weezing, and then I learnt that it is a physical move.

Yeah, nothing quite like "All normal type moves are physical" the best one is Kingler's huge attack stat and water type moves ALL being special. Or Hitmonchan with all the elemental punches being special

I've only done one shiny run and that was in renegade platinum and it was annoying. So I don't even want to think how annoying this would've been. Props to you man for going through this hell just to entertain us👍🏻

This was the only edition where I actually found a shiny. It was a gastly, but it was a little bit sad that its sprite looks quite similar to the non-shiny version. Wish you all luck guys (:

I remember almost 20 years ago starting a new save in sapphire and encountering a shiny poochyena on my first few encounters. At the time, I was not aware of the odds, but this was coming right out of crystal version, so the shiny color was amazing. But then I never encountered one in sapphire again. Haha.

Ive played 6 different pokemon games maybe but i played Yellow,Fire Red and Diamond alot. I caught a shiny Spearow on fire red and out of who i know, im the only person to ever catch a shiny legit, so they rare af haha. Shiny ponyta was always the dream though. Dedication to the content is amazing , liking he content alot.

I remember trying to get a shiny Squirtle as a kid and found out about the soft resets was a game changer. Only took me like 8 tries thank god but I was prepared to be in it for the long haul 😂

I was hoping to see a Shiny Snorlax which would've been much easier to hunt as compared to that Eevee and Magikarp, but oh well It was still pretty good and I can't even imagine spending this much time hunting shinies so well done!

I'm not really into that kind of videos usually because the people who do that always sell that like a huge deal, like if it was something never done before (wich is obviously wronge because, Shiny Quest are done since the beginning of Shiny Hunting). I like how chill it is here you get a shiny, you move on, like your usual Shiny Quest, nice video and congrats on your shinies.

I did a challenge like this but it only took a few days because I used 20-30 emulators all hunting at once 😂 also, it would've been easier to hunt Magikarp in Vermilion City with an Old Rod since his encounter rate is 100% and fishing encounters are less annoying. Love the video though!

You should do... Pokemon fire red but you can only use shiny and can only defeat shinies. That way you have to reset a whole year just to make brock have double shinies to defeat :)

Since this is a gen 3 game, I'll tell a short story on how I FAILED my very first shiny. One time I was playing Pokemon Emerald on an emulator and I stumbled upon a SHINY TRAPINCH and I didn't have pokeballs so I had to kill it.

I got my very first shinny pokemon in this game and that is Rattata and I got him before I even got 1 badge, but I got it by accident as I was training to evolve my Bulbasaur
