Great changes, like Lance having a trío of draconian starters and Diantha havind Diancie. I think Cynthia could have had Hisuian Pokemon to reflect her interest in the past.

I would've done it Masters 8: Ash, Brandon, Cynthia, Iris, Diantha, Lance, Steven, Paul - (Lean being the champion match for whoever wins the masters 8) Round 1: Ash VS Steven - I liked the original match up Iris VS Lance - Master of the Dragon Champions Paul VS Brandon - It would be nice for a little redemption to the best rival Diantha VS Cynthia - The two most influential champs on Ash Round 2: Ash VS Iris - It would be a nice end to their friendship / rivalry Paul VS Cynthia - Of course, I would let the best rival face best champion Round 3: Ash VS Cynthia - Its the match up we've all been waiting for Champion Match Ash VS Leon - duh

Loved a lot of changes you made and new story elements were cool as well the art looked amazing to. I just imagine in my head that the rules for the Masters 8 always change and this is the first time they are letting all 3 battle gimmicks be used and all of the champions training to master all 3 gimmicks since they all just specialized in one for the most part. Think it would be a fun story element and put Ash as a serious threat.

This was a good video I liked that you gave Diantha a better team than she had in the Games I like that you gave Wallace some respect that Journeys did also I give Lance a Kingdra in Honer of his Cousin Clair and Duraludon as in Journeys Lance says he Been Training at hammerLocke Gym even his Outfit was based on it so it’s strange he didn’t have any Galar Dragons from their and Flygon.

It is interesting how the anime essentially reversed things with Wallace and Steven. In Hoenn, Steven’s kept as this normal if powerful dude while Lance’s the one to help against Magma and Aqua. Then during Sinnoh, Wallace is introduced as Champion due to Emerald being out by now. But then in Kalos because of ORAS, Steven is now Champion, implying he inherited the title from Wallace.

I like the idea of round robin so that Ash can face more of the masters 8 but I think it might become a bit odd for Ash not to slip up at some point. It would give Ash more reason to use his older pokemon though so that is good. I Still want Iris to face Cynthia or Lance to fully cement herself as a dragon master. I still think Alain should be there but definitely to fight Ash.

The changes to the team are very good, didn't understand why Ash woulud have special treatment as if other champions never travel or don't use gimmicks outside of their gen. I'd probably put an Ultra Recon Squad member as a top 8, having a team of UB would take people by surprise, can even put an Alolan Exeggutor for fun in there.

I really REALLY loved how you added all of ash's mons to fight each champion. Also wallace works really really well as the final member. I could even see wallace and steven having this champion rivalry where they tend beat the other each year through the hoenn championship, kinda like raihan and leon except neither are unbeatable. So your gift exchange idea works very well for that too. You know if ash were to rechallenge people throughout journeys, i could totally imagine him battling alain in the hyper rank. Id be down to see what you would make ash's major rank battles through this version of journeys. Keep up the amazing work

Not bad, but it would've been nice to see Ash use more ice types besides just Lapras.

I like this idea of Ash using all of his Pokémon to create 7 different teams for 7 battles in a tournament. This whole thing is well done as a continuation from the other videos. The only thing, I'm curious about is how Ash still gets Lapras. I thought your rules for the ATR were that Ash couldn't have a Pokémon he had in canon, yet Ash has Lapras. Unless the difference is just that this one can Gigantamax. I don't really mind it though since Ash's canon Lapras never battled much so seeing her fight in the ultimate tournament would be cool.

Just one thing that bothers me about Ash's team during Journeys: I mean think about it, during Kalos, he has a Fire Type and a Water Type but no Grass Type. Then in Alola he as a Grass Type and Fire Type but no Water Type, then we have his sorta Galar team I noticed the trend, Ash having two of the three (four if you count Electric) starting types you know; Grass, Fire, Water so I predicted that he will catch a Water Type and Grass Type but won’t have a Fire Type and I was right kinda……. Because he did have his Dracovish who is a Water Type but he didn’t catch a Grass Type which ruins the pattern. But then again….. they’ve just began breaking the traditional trends Ash does every time he goes to another region starting in Alola because he didn’t catch a Pikipek for a start and he finally won a league while he was there. And no, the Orange league doesn’t count, it’s not an official league

i would have loved if they would have done like vgc for the first matches, double battles with 4 pokemon, and i really think Diantha would pull out the best vgc strats with like helping hand and ally switch

15:32 Look, I'm not the biggest fan of Charizard either, but I respect Leon's, it's beaten me several times, and besides it took out three of Blaine's Pokemon in Let's Go for me.

Honestly the Charizard hate is so petty, I can't help but respect it as a lover of Charizard. I'm surprised you even allowed it on Lance's team. Anyway, the idea of a round robin tournament is pretty interesting and can work in the anime since we saw jt in a portion of the Silver Conference, but I do that it would probably be soley Ash focused at that point which is a bit of a hit for the tournament in my opinion since I liked seeing the Champions bounce off each other in the quarters and feel like with this format we wouldn't get cool moments like Wallace and Steven putting the Pokemon they gifted to eachother against one another in a cool battle. In this format, Ash alone is supposed to go against 7 different people in 6v6 battles which take at the very least 2 episodes. That's minimum 14 episodes of big battles which sounds awesome but also like the undertaking of a century for the anime staff especially with Journeys' infamous production issues. To be clear, I am aware of this being a hypothetical, in this world the anime has infinite budget and zero deadlines to make the greatest event in the shows history. My weird brain just can't help but think of the monumental task this would be just for Ash in reality. I also didn't notice till the Leon battle that that's the only battle Pikachu gets to be in. Now, it's not like Pikachu's got to be in every battle known to man. Ash has benched him before even in 6v6 scenarios like Gary but something about it just feels a little off to me. It's like Lance not using Dragonite for majority of the tournament or Cynthia without Garchomp. I don't know, maybe it's just an attachment thing on my part. I know this comment has been mostly semi negative but I would like to say I do like the idea of each competitor having access to all 3 gimmicks. In Journeys I don't mind Ash only getting to use all 3 (or 4 with the second Gigantamax) for Leon cause let's be honest that was the only believable way he won that fight plus it was awesome so now that he has heavy hitters going up against Leon (and presumably in this universe, Leon won't be as cracked as he was in actual Journeys while still feeling like the strongest person there), yeah sure give it to everyone. Them using every gimmick to their advantage as well as working around any gimmick that comes their way would be a great showcase of why these 8 are the best of the best. Lastly, totally respect the omission of Alain. While I do really like him and think he is strong enough to be here, he kinda sticks out like a sore thumb as the only non Champion who was just there for a Charizard measuring contest in the original Journeys. Wallace just makes more sense especially since we have the potential there for a battle from the Serena episode. Also great video. As you can see I had a lot of thoughts about it 😂.

I got a whacky idea for this verse but WHAT IF ASH WAS IN HORIZONS...AS A MENTOR I know you're probably already set up a video idea for ash to be a student in his own story but I got just gotta say I think his story would be better if he was older(like early 20s) and acts as a mentor to horizons new leads and there rivals and acts as there final hurdle with his own Paldea Team maybe in a fun take on a raid battle where the leads team up to take out Ash and his team think the final fight against universe 7 and Jiren in DBS
