I like how the first three rounds are basically Lugia playfully flirting with Ho-Oh. First it gives it a cheeky tickle, then piles on some flattering compliments and tries to impress it with a sweet scented perfume

Why did Perish Song fail in the first turn?

you can tweak some rules in this game. one of them says perish song fails if used by the last pokemon on a team. I enabled it because perish song usually ruins a good fight.
