I actually recognized Fuecoco's design when the trailer came out. Back in old concept art for the Johto starter trio, it was one of the sketches for early Cyndaquil, but dropped presumably because a lizard-ish fire starter was too closely retreading Charmander's design. It makes me wonder if Scarlet/Violet will have any other old designs from the other generations.

funny thing about the all fours thing, if Sprigatito does go biped it will be the first grass starter to go from quadruped to biped, all other final evolutions for grass starters that were bipeds were bipeds through the whole line *with one going limbless in its final form that started biped* all the quadruped grass starters stayed quadruped, unlike fire starters which so far have ALL become bipeds by their final evolution and most of the water starters did as well...with one going from biped to quadruped and another being a seal-mermaid instead. But yeah the majority of starter pokemon go biped.

Regarding Eveelution: We are actually missing a dragon Eveelution. All forms so far are types that were "special" before the physical/special split in later generations. AND DRAGON WAS CONSIDERED SPECIAL AS WELL

The funniest thing about Incineroar is that in the Alola games, or at least USUM, it's possible to level up during the intro and have evolved starters in cutscenes. It's hilarious introducing your brand new half naked cat man to your mom

If they didn't give us the Dragon Eevee in Gen 8 they're done until they make a new type All the Eevelutions are based on the "special" types, not physical and they've always been added in even numbered generations Unless they make it a regional varient of Eevee or something but considering it's been elevated to mascot and we didn't get Alolan Pikachu I doubt they'd do that Grass starters are consistently the most often least humanoid, unlike with Litten where *every single* Fire starter final evo is bipedal, we at least have Venasaur, Meganium, and Torterra as a precsident for quadraped grass starter final evolutions

I have to confess: I want Fuecoco to have a luscious head of hair. It's got that golden ahoge as stage 1, I want his evolution to have progressively more hair. Like stage 2 has a hairstyle like Alolan Dugtrio, and then its final form has got a golden curtain of the stuff.

I'm firmly in the camp of wanting no more Eeveelutions, but a new Eevee counterpart with the other 9 types as possibilities (starting from a ghost base because that way it and Eevee would be immune to each other).

You can always tell how popular a Pokémon is by how much offbrand there is of it, and it's pretty safe to say that Sprigatito is the most popular of the 3.

I'm predicting an Iberian Lynx look for part of Sprigatito's evolution line. The ears and beardy part of the face look like they could be depicted as petals, leaves, and twigs. That and/or a jaguar. For Fuecoco, I can see a chili-pepper-meets-gharial thing happening with its evolution. Basically, it gets a thinner, longer, and spicier mouth so it can grab prey without moving its body much. I can see Quaxly getting more of a Spring cleaning albatross look where it towels across the floor with its giant wings like it's doing the Japanese zokin dash.

Eevelutions are known to be only from the pre-Gen 4 special types. Unless we get a new special type there won't be any more.

the eeveelutions are mostly based around elements. fairy can be seen as light, and psychic as something neutral, similar to DnD's force damage. imo it would be weird to have a cute furry mammal suddenly evolve into a lizard (dragon), suddenly become an insect (bug), or for it to grow wings (flying). what i would love to see is a straight up normal type evolution for it

Also It would be cool if in scarlet violet had a thing like in the trailer where when a rainbow appears, shiny or rare spawn rates go up

Before the special physical split all special attack moves were water, fire, electric, dark, psychic, grass, ice, and dragon. Those types are the types of the eeveelutions minus dragon and fairy type didn't exist back then. If game freak releases another eeveelution I will predict it being a dragon type eevee Edit: Just want to add that the new region is placed in spain as well and north of spain is France and France in pokemon is Kalos which released Silvyeon.
