It would be nice if they made them have a glow or something around them since alot of shiny pokemon look similar to the plain ones

If you want to catch a shiny or a pokemon you really want to use scyther or any pokemon that has false swipe.False swipe lowers the pokemons health but won't make them faint.

Scarlet is the first game that I’ve ever encountered a shiny, and I’ve already managed to catch two a full odds.

I've been playing pokemon for 2 decades, I've beaten every single mainline Pokémon game (and their remakes). Yesterday I got my 2nd shiny ever in those 2 decades.

Outbreaks are no joke. I did a noibat outbreak with a shiny sandwich and no charm, and got 2 shinys in 5 minutes. Seriously awesome

3 magnemite outbreaks this week, farmed and respawned about 4 hours each time, and not a single shiny appeared. I have yet to see a single shiny at all in Scarlett.

Its adorable and the perfect balance of detailed and simple. Its shiny is all the more rewarding with its blue changed to a really cute pink/purple.) -Sylveon (Easy, its pink changes to blue. Its adorable.) -Umbreon (All on this list have been cliché and popular, but shiny umbreon is sick. And you cant lie.) -Eevee (I know. Its only been eeveelutions +eevee and gyrados, but dont you agree? The eeveelutions are amazing themselves but some of their shinies stick out in an amazing way.) Fun Fact: I just got the shiny charm!❤❤

I've been thinking the base rate's been boosted even further than advertised, because just yesterday within two hours I found two shiny Lechonks. I still haven't even entered the school yet. I've had some crazy shiny luck in the past, but this is crazy even compared to that.

It you are farming by a town if you walk into it, all pokemon despawn so is quicker than using a picnic, hope this helps

I got 3 yesterday that were full odds, & now I'm very interested I'm this game.

Try to get outbreaks near towns so you can simply go in and out of the town to respawn. Also, some outbreaks have "sweet spots" where you can optimize seeing a number of spawn spots after ending your respawn picnic. Sandwiches, even the best ones, do not guarantee a shiny, so make sure to save your game just before you make a sandwich. Sandwich power will disappear if you try to change the system clock, and will only last 30 minutes real world time, so be careful! Best of luck out there!

I have a question do defeating the Pokémon have to be chained? Like if I accidentally kill a random Pokémon after 50 chains do I need to restart the process?

during the mass outbreaks do you have to chain the same pokemon for it to count for the shinny counter?

Omg thx so much for this info I really needed it. And also apparently if you have a Pokémon from a different language as well as another Pokémon from the same egg group then if you make them breed, the chances of it being a shiny drop to around 2000

So me and my friend are a bit confused about shiny buff's so do the food/charm shiny buffs work on all wild pokemon or only on outbreak pokemon? and when stacking that 60 kill streak in an outbreak do you have that buff forever when hunting that mon type in outbreaks or if you get the same outbreak again is it refreshed and you gotta stack that 60 kill streak again?

I have 2 shinies; an Eevee I got from masuda method and a Fletchling that was full odds from near the starting area

great video... except you forgot one thing.. shiny charm usually stacks woth mesuda method so if i am not mistaken that takes the odds to 1 in 445 on a shiny , i however am not sure if that works in this game too, and whether or not the sparkeling boost from aandwich will lower it too, is so, i inmagine it to be 1 in 386 or so

Great thing about Masuda is that it will be a shiny with great stats. (So long as you breed correctly)

I really like shinies that has more than just one color. I dont like a shiny with just same color all around it. Like a shiny Staryu and Starmie has more color to it. And I love its shiny coz of it.

Now combine the sandwich, the mass outbreaks and the shiny charm and you'll get more shinies

You can actually go to your profile as well and keep track of your shiny encounters

You can save after you kill 60 in an outbreak and if you reset you will still continue with increased shiny odds? So in case the outbreak dissapear i can close the game and reset

I literally caught 3 shinies at the start of the game. (Scatterbug, Psyduck and Azurill) I was and am still in shock. I think I used up my life‘s luck now. + Scatterbug and Psyduck were like 5 minutes apart I think until now, I never got a shiny while playing the story.

Hell, even using a sparkling power 1 sandwich helps in an outbreak. Paired with the shiny charm, you pretty much can guarantee a spawn within 30minutes.

The only problem with shiny farming wild pokemon is if you actually want to use them its nearly impossible to get a 5 or 6 IV shiny this way, where with egg farming your shiny can much more easily be a 5 or 6 IV with the desiered nature. Maybe im min/maxing too much but if I am going to put in the effort for an all shiny team I want them to be good enough to show off without getting stomped.

My favorite shiny is Trulatula and I did find one but I didn't put everstone on it in time then it evolved I was sad because I don't like the evolved shiny but I did find one of my other favorite shinys fortress but it used self destruct and I also had a shiny golduck I almost missed it had an ability that disabled self destruct and it was in my party but I wasn't using it as my first pokemon in my party :( my first shiny pokemon was Ratatata or however you spell it I've only seen four shinys on my life but only caught three of them :(

1:17 I don't think changing the date in the system is cheating sure Pokemon had penaltys in past games for time skipping but there are none that I know of in scarlet and violet. I just see this as being more efficient with my time. Plus it's not just a select group that can only do this everyone playing Pokemon scarlet and violet has access to time skipping wether you use it or not is up to you.

Can you combine Shiny charm, lv.3 food and defeat chain in outbreaks for better odds?

I have found three in the outbreaks. And just like pla, catching them seems to make them spawn ridiculously fast!
