It looks great, GameFreak has no excuse. They apparently split into 2 teams to create "Town", which was also bad. They lied about the animations and models being new and high quality, they're the same as the 3DS ones. With 61% of the roster cut, I think the cons outweigh the pros

An even worst statistic, is that it has the lowest number of regional pokemon since the GBA era of games - this was literally almost 20 years ago.

Overall the main story will take you between 14-25 hours depending on your pacing with the post game being 2 hours long. These lengths have been proven by basically every reviewer that isnt IGN or Gamespot.

Kids can't make a hard game easier. In my opinion, the new easiness of Pokemon games is great. You can relax, sit down for an afternoon, and float your way through a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

I think they meant that even though they were overleveled they never felt like it because it isn't nearly as easy as let's say SM and USUM. I never felt any sort of challenge in those games because they were so easy. Besides Ultra Necrozma, but even then you could just use something like curse or spirit bond so whatever. I honestly like the fact that these games make you feel that way even if you are overleveled, it just adds another level of gameplay and strategy to the game.

That is how pokemon difficulty works. You must not have played a game in a while if you don't realise that is often the case. Especially on 3DS games

That is NOT over-levelled. Also you don't know if the leader/rival had stronger Pokémon than that, or if that was her strongest Pokémon. Being 12-15 levels above the next gym leader is being over-levelled.

I would like to point out that at 41 (In the 4th or 5th gym I think) she is only 20 something levels away from Leon's teams levels. Also I highly doubt that her team jumps from 34 to over 41 in the matter of a gym battle (By that I mean in the same battle and not the following gym) That is just being silly.

I love how she shows the "difficulty" by using a baby pokemon vs a fully evolved one. Like wtf did you expect?

Especially with context, Sword and shield is the worst game in the franchise. The amount of things they cut, the unpolished graphics and technical elements despite it being the first console main series pokemon game, and the utter lack of content is just bafflingly bad. That said, if you remove context, gen 1 is by far the worst because the gameplay is just broken.

- 11 pretty empty/hollow towns - 10 average routes - 4 (!!) dungeons in the entire game, of which two are tiny linear caves - no post-game areas except a pretty disappointing battle facility - around 160 battles in the entire game (everything included), in comparison: HGSS's Johto region had 158 regular trainer battles (not including gym battles, rival battles, evil team battles, legendary battles and so on) - an awfully paced plot, with almost nothing happening for the most part of the game, and a completely nonsensical climax with an implausible villain - a disappointing wild area (pretty small, with small weather areas that change instantly, nothing to explore/discover, no trainer battles...) - graphical/technical issues (pop-on of Pokemon, NPCs and berry trees, lag and stuttering in multiplayer (even game crashes!), connection issues, not updating stamps, delay, flickering shadows, bad textures, wrong battle backgrounds, average to underwhelming animations - questionable game design decisions (making the "exp share" mandatory, being able to engage in battle with high leveled wild Pokemon but not being allowed to catch them, making Dyna Raid Pokemon way too probable to escape which can be frustrating, damage caps on Raid mons plus dumb NPC supporters, no GTS, and so on) - cutting more than half of the Pokedex Just out of interest, not because I want to ruin your experience with and opinion on the game - but what are the reasons why you enjoyed Pokemon Sword and shield? I am sincerely interested, because I can't wrap my head around it. Having played all games since Gen 4 (and the Gen 3 games later) I just feel betrayed, neglected and provoked by this game.
