I was very blessed to go to Japan about two months ago and it was a trip of a lifetime! I was a kid in a candy store and definitely overwhelmed by the number of card shops they have. The Japanese people are insanely awesome & nice! Each card shop I went to I was taken care of and were super helpful and transparent each card I was planning on buying. They care about their customers and ensure they are selling a high of quality cards. Didn't buy any packs but definitely a few singles that I'm extremely happy & will forever have in my collection. If you have the opportunity to visit Japan I would extremely recommend going! Cool video and hope to see a few more of these types of videos in the future.

Can I ask what shops you'd recommend? I'm heading to Tokyo in May and would appreciate any advice. I'd be after singles, so anywhere that has a good selection of those would be great.

It’s hard for me to recommend a place per se however, there are two shops that come to mind after looking at recent photos that I enjoyed. The first one that was my favorite is Hareruya 2 in Akihabara. This card shop had lots of cards on display and really remember my girlfriend buying a lottery ticket that allow you to pick cards from a box. Depending on what you pull was your prize from the different tiers shown on these display cases all based on the cards you pulled (ranged from Japanese singles and loose packs). My girlfriend hit the jackpot and was able to get some 151 packs and multiple singles one of them being the AR Magikarp from Clay Burst. The second one that I also enjoyed was Surugaya in Shinjuku. This place sold Pokemon card singles among anime and gaming consoles. If you go to Akihabara in search of Pokemon singles you won’t be disappointed as there’s so many card shops that I went into that it was overwhelming. Some card shops didn’t appear on my google search and ended up walking by a few them and then going to them after walking and looking around. If you type into your search trading card shops it will be a good starting point. I hope this helped a little. You will enjoy and love Japan!!!

Oh my gosh this is a dream come true for me! I'd love to be able to go on a shopping spree for Pokemon cards and plushies! 👀 they have the most beautiful clean art and just everything is so beautifully made! 🔥 I also love both vintage and the newer Japanese backs but I think the Vintage steals my heart just because of how nostalgic it is. 🔥 what an amazing video!
