Former Principal Scientific Advisor Rajagopala Chidambaram is in Guest in the Newsroom. He talks about Pokhran-1 (18 May 1974) and Pokhran-2 (11 and 13 May 1998). It will be great if Lallantop can invite more personalities from the Science field and more importantly invite Ayush (#Ayushkari) as a host of those sessions. It will help audiance in an immense way. Thanks for the interview but felt like Questions could have been better. I wanted to understand : 1. when we say equal partnership, then what technologies are coming from foreign countries, are they doing the advanced tech and we are doing the manufacturing? In defence we assemble things bought from foreign vendors. That's why DRDO and others fail to make many simple equipment even after many years. 2. Why countries like China progressed more in terms of scientific research than India, was it policy limitation, organisational limitation to create that Eco-system.

Thank you for bringing the great scientist in the show. The quality of questions was great but R Chidambaram missed some important questions to answer. May be due to 2 or 3 questions asked simultaneous by Nikhil. I would request you to invite great living scientists like CNR Rao, Goverdhan Mehta from Chemistry field, Manindra Agrawal from Mathematics field and some top most biologist that our country have.
