The average box of Oreos at my local Walmart is ~$4 for 13 ounces, which equates to ~30 cents/oz. If we look at bite-sized snacks like Teddy Grahams, a 10 oz box is also ~$4, equaling ~40 cents/oz. Generic store-brand cookies are of course lower, between $2-$3 for a 12 oz box, which is ~20 cents/oz. Even Tate's - a renowned, homegrown business that is now widely popular and recognized across the country for having very high-quality standards - sells their cookies in stores at ~$6 for a 7 oz bag, or ~82 cents/oz. Pokimane's cookies - at $7 for a 4 oz bag - are priced at $1.75 per oz. That's over double the markup for Tate's and over triple that (or more) of numerous other cookie brands, companies and types. Her pricing is ABSURD. Her audience aren't just "broke", poor little simps who will buy things just because she makes it but can't afford it. They're consumers who understand the value of their money and how they can't just throw it around the way she does. She's condescending to those who criticize her practices, insults everyone who doesn't worship her, and then expects them to ask her to do it again for the pleasure. It's horrible.

Imagine not understanding how absolutely devastating the climate of our economy has been on the middle and low class, which i imagine is the large majority of her fanbase. People are struggling to pay rent and shes essentially making a mockery of there misery and threatening her audience that she judges them as broke if they dont buy her cookies.

her audience are children, primarily pubescent boys. children don't earn their money, they get given it. well now, there's less money. the kids are squealing like stuck pigs but it's too bad. you can't have what simply isn't there. all streamers are seeing a sharp downturn in income, those who cater exclusively to children are in panic mode.

@@Hamgetsu : It's actually pretty true. A lot of the viewers of the WORST female streamers, i.e SSSniperWolf and Pokimane, are way too young to be on Stream. In fact, both Pokimane and SSSniperWolf manipulate and weaponize a good chunk of their "viewers" against those they hate.....and as one would expect, they attack the target because they think Pokimane/SSSniperWolf will notice them or sleep with them. You can try to deny and defend Pokimane all you want, but facts speak louder. Most people over the age of 18 have dropped these 2. Hell, I'm over 30 and I find her personality disgusting even before this cookie crap. Just because people want to get into the pants of "someone famous" doesn't mean you should disregard all common sense.

I like how she’s like “it’s not 28$ for a bag, that’s 4 BAGS, that’s only 7$ a bag” despite the fact and that people are very well aware and are critiquing the crazy fact that a bag of mini cookies is 7$, and she still has the audacity to call the viewers “idiots” and bring up “math is hard”.

Also, unless I'm misunderstanding, can't you *only* buy the $28 4-pack? Because if so, that's what bothers me about her sales pitch of "iT's SeVeN dOlLaRs A bAg, Do MaTh" nobody cares if it's $7 a bag, you can't buy the bags individually, so naturally as a consumer you're looking at the $28 price tag. At that point, I'd rather spend the $28 on ingredients to make my own cookies, which would yield more than a measly 16oz of cookies anyways, lol.
