POLAND vs THAILAND | Highlights | Women's VNL 2024. Poland won against Thailand 3-0 ( 25:15, 25:23, 25:17) in the Volleyball Nations League (VNL) tournament in Hong Kong. Tomorrow Poland will play against China (start 14:30). This will be the last meeting of coach Stefano Lavarini's players in the intercontinental phase.
Polish volleyball players play in this year's VNL series with virtually no losses. They suffered only one defeat - 1:3 against Brazil. The White and Reds are sure of participating in the final tournament. The Thai team has so far won three matches and had to admit the superiority of their rivals in seven. However, in the last match they defeated Bulgaria 3-2.
The Polish team showed very good form and confidently won. In the first set the score was 11:10. Then we saw a series of points from the White and Reds and the score was 17:10. The high advantage was maintained until the end.
The second set was the most even. Poland led, among others, 16:12 and 19:15. The rivals equalized. After the actions of Czyrniańska and Mędzrzyk, our team gained a 23:21 advantage and repelled the final attacks of the volleyball players from Thailand.
In the third set, Poland again had a high advantage. At the beginning of the set she took an 8:4 lead and calmly kept the Thais at bay. The point block gave the match ball, and Czyrniańska finished the last action.
Sixteen teams play in the intercontinental phase of the VNL. The final tournament will be played from June 20 to 23 in Bangkok. It will feature the seven leading teams of the intercontinental phase and the home team.
