Maybe they don´t want to share. Then it wouldn´t make any difference if they knew how to communicate it. And they probably do, by the way. But their existence is based even more on dominance than ours is. It´s usually "to each their own" in the animal kingdom, unless we are talking herd animals.

Yes the BBC is horrible at making false narratives for each little animal story! He'll just look at the clip from 3:37 there are a minimum of four separate families in that shot all laying right next to each other sleeping and not paying any attention to each other. If you ever see any footage of these whale sites there are literally dozens of polar bears some of them playing with each other. They tend to have little aggression was so much food available.

@bradleywoods3742
@bradleywoods3742 4 жыл бұрын
@@deannelson9565 I wouldn't be so sure that polar bears are going to continue this seeming "time of plenty". Their population will plateau and eventually start to decrease as more and more of the sea ice starts retreating. The main reason why they were and still are doing very well is due to less poaching/hunting and the thin sea ice makes it far easier for them to find seal pups which is a large part of their diet. This is consistent with the harp seal populations which is currently declining. I thought coral reefs were dying? 50% of them have already died off, not just from bleaching.
@deannelson9565
@deannelson9565 4 жыл бұрын
@@bradleywoods3742 where are you coming up with harp seals population decline? It's currently around 7 million of them compared to around 2 million back in 1980. So I'm curious where you're coming up with these numbers. Other than probably some b******* articles talking about sea ice drop causing problems with the pups That's was just fear-mongering, but didn't actually have any real world effect. And as far as hunting goes polar bears are still hunted at the same level as they were back in the 70's!

I don't think they are really that dirty. You see, polar bears' fur isn't white, but transparent. Each hair is hollow, and it reflects light. Because ice reflects all wavelengths of color, it appears white, and polar bears are the whitest when there's direct sunlight on them, as well as with snow. Because there's few snow and little sunlight, their fur appears to be dirty and brown, but actually it absorbs more light than it reflects. ;D
