Polar Bear Wakesurf Review for Model Year 2018

Once again we get some of the best wakesurf boats ever assembled on the water with a group of 36 riders to to spend 2 days of nuttin but surfing. So much fun and all of these boats are fantastic. This year a real "budget" boat is in the mix so that even more people can enjoy this amazing sport.

I’m a 210 fan for sure that wave looked sick for stock ballast iv got a 06 SAN 210 but look at the lip on the g wave that is nuts I bet that is a blast

Just picked up a Moomba Max and love you it. This video made my decision final! I do have one question how did you have the max setup in the video? Any extra weight and how much? Thanks

How much extra weight did you have in the Max? Says 800 in the caption, that's massive for only an extra 800 lbs.

We just sold our 2013 Mastercraft xstar now we are looking into the 2018 Mastercraft X Star. My partner is leaning to the x23 because it is set up more for surfing but I choose wakeboarding over surfing and it appears the x23 does not throw a nice ramp. We have been trying to read over forums to see if the X star can be balanced out right to throw a nice Surf Wave as well. I know the G23 comes in good for all around wakeboarding and surfing but I prefer the fit and finish of the Mastercraft and have always owned Mastercraft. Any responses or experience on the matter would be helpful

I have never heard people rave about the xstar wave. But several people on other MCs like the surf wave, just usually not the xstar. I have seen boats like the Supra SA, and the Nautique G23 do really well at both.

Ok brother.... all mighty wake master... I am buying a boat this week. Surfing, quality, fun, family, and surfing! Between a 18 Malibu mxz 24 and a 18 Supra SE 450. Live in Knoxville so both are home town boats but need the master to give me the answer!!! Soo...?

Look around forums and stuff, you will see a lot of people giving examples of malibu and axis cutting corners. They used to be a super quality boat, I just don't see that anymore. Also, the SE makes an amazing surf wave. The only negative about the SE, and this also holds true of the MXZ I believe, is that it doesn't have sub floor ballast so you lose a lot of storage to get the best surf wave. The wave on the SE, is a monster and its a quality boat.

Odds and Ends picked up the SE450! Loving it! It does have less storage after the larger sacks. Very nice and big boat... this is massivd

Have you seen the moomba crazy, or even better the moomba max? I would put those above, and they are in that price range.

No Malibu? The #1 selling wakesurf boat last year. Most of these boats reviewed fall below Malibu.

They're invited but neglect to send a boat every year. I disagree with the "fall below Malibu" comment. They're called "tatersetters" for a reason.

Malibu has been invited many times but do not participate. I disagree with you when it comes to wakesurfing.

Understood. Can't speak to their absence. A good lineup either way - any of these boats would be a good tow. Also notice that Mastercraft is missing.

The only boat in this review that falls below Malibu is the Moomba and that's just because of options not performance. Malibu makes a fine boat but from a surf performance perspective they lag behind most of these boats.
