I have 4 in a 125, with 3 oscars, 3 severum, 3 earth eaters, and 3 salvini. Everyone is doing great, I have 5 terra cotta pots turned different ways, with peace river substrate. I'll be adding plants soon. Running a 20 gallon sump, circulation is 1,200 gph.

Brother i brought this fish today, and i don't know anything about it😢. I understand where your coming from but i got mine from a aquarium who accidentally bred them and they are beautiful. As i understand not breeding intentionally as that poses unnecessary health risks i also want them to go to a great home and not just be shunned.
