If anything, I am training for my life. Almost 60 and training to get rid of the last (Ugh!) decades of sloth, and get my weight down (down 55# this pandemic), using a combination of HIIT, strength, core and cardio. I just updated from an OH1 to a Verity Sense, and I love them both. I'm mostly competing with my self, but I like to get out with my daughter for her group runs (I don't run, I lumber) to show the kids how the old folks do it.

Another great review, thank you for all the hard work you do! I have the GRITX so I don't need this watch, but it looks like it has many similar features, and Polar has become my daily just for three simple things, the weather (especially to easily glance the wind changes, helps me decide on what kind of exercise I feel like doing that day), sleep tracking, and training status. It is too bad that the M2 and the Grit X don't have ant+, but not a deal breaker.

Last year I voiced my dream of running a a sub 20min 5k. Got to 26 minutes last May. Even hired a coach and when we were scheduled to start last July, I got super sick. Been sick 2 more times since and this is a pain 😅 I'm back in worse shape than I've been probably since my early teens and currently just trying to get back to running again. Honestly, makes me anything but laugh and struggling as an ex-athlete to find the motivation to start from scratch. I have the gen 1 of M but got a bit bored with it last year and fed up with all the connectivity issues. Props for Polar for seemingly haven taken that feedback and now that I dug up my old M, seems like the issues with connections and notifications have been resolved in the Polar app. I've been testing a few watches, ending up with Garmin VA4 in await of a new Fenix. However, I started missing the proper development supporting features, such as showing daily activity as one goal, having a cardio load tolerance figure I can track as a demonstrator of my condition improving, recovery pro, FitSpark & Nightly Recharge, so trying life with Vantage M again. If only I could combine what I like about each together and I might be satisfied. 😁

I recently joined a new gym and they have a great community built there and they do a bunch of things together from accountability pages where they share their progress pictures, meals, post workout data, and they do things outside of the gym together like Iron Mans and runs that I would like to be more a part of. They are always very inviting but I am still working on balancing my fitness life and grad school responsibilities. I would also like to find a way to sleep more cause it can be really hard with school sometimes, and if anything have better quality sleep overall.

"My little, dainty man wrists." LMAO! I was expecting you to call 'em aero, again. I find it hard to believe that a triathlete does a lot of cardio. lol Sounds like a great watch at the price point. My only "issue" is actually the steel bezel. I run a solar farm as an electrician, and a watch with a steel body means I have to remember to take it off when I'm in a cabinet. Small issue, sure, but it isn't one I have with my trusty 920XT. I'm currently working on finishing a virtual challenge to run the Ring of Kerry. I'm less than 13 miles from completion. Hi Matt, great vídeo 😊 my first watches was from Polar ,the M400,M430 and vantage M and then move to Garmin and you no, there's no way back 😂😂 talking serious,I think if Polar put some effort on his app and the app become so good like the web version of Polar flow I think they might make some damage to Garmin. They make good watches but I think they are very rigid about some changes, like smartwatch features when you are training, about the third party app on their watches etc. Their focus is on running data , usable and that's it. Because honestly Garmin have a lots of metrics that even they don't know what is supposed to do with them 😂😂 but they gave us that option,to choose what we want and we don't need at all, chose if we want notification during the workout or not,if we want that smartwatch face or not, what kind of data we want there etc and they have a great app. I don't remember the last time I use the web version of Garmin connect, and with polar I have to do that everyday, and for me is the big differences between them. Because in terms of really useful data, Polar is really good. Great vídeo and keep the good work Matt. Cheers from Portugal ☺️
