I have a 24 SWA, and was having a difficult time keeping it cool until I Jerry rigged the Polaris RMK scratchers to the rails. Are you using scratchers? If so, how are they mounted?
@JESSEJAMES322

I do not use scratchers. ive nevr had a reason too. my assault ran 110-140 all year ecen in the very very low snow we rode thise year

That is why I like my pro r I am only 140 lbs and the assault I drove was ass slapping my pushing me in the air the pro r suspension seems to stay more on the trail and glides much better I don't think I will be buying a new sled because of that. Great video though

Does any of your crew run a short track, 129/128? I’ve run 121 and 137 and just went down to a 129. On the majority of situations being mostly groomed or smooth hard pack, I’m happier. Some guys I ran into on 128 XCRs agreed. I’m just not feeling the long track thing. I’ve had more than one sled at the same time and just always felt better on the shorts.

Bruces 650/9R is a XCR 128. i do not notice a huge differnece between the 128/136 in the trails. i personally would take the 136 over the 128 all day

Was hoping you had the Hygear in for this video. Just got an email back from them for part numbers, availability, and cost. Love the SBA, but definitely went to get it a little more refined

Can I get that cross country front track spring for a ‘19 Assault 144”? If so, what is the part number?

*What a garbage year. I never even got to ride my 24 Boost 👎. The 4 week long trips I had planned to fly up to NH and ride it turned to 50's and rain the day I was scheduled to come. So the two new sleds that never left the trailer. Unless there is a major storm the next couple of weeks my season was a total bust. I will probably send my shocks to Bruce later this year to have them revalved. I remember the 23 demo I had being really stiff in the beginning of the stroke like you guys described. Does this setup keep the playful wheelie machine characteristics I loved so much ?*

horrible winter. and yes this will still be playfull but will work way better in the bumps and have a more plush ride in the small chatter

Now that you’ve owned 136” & 146” MATRYX sleds what do you feel is the best on trail sled for groomed trails. looking to devour mobiles and have razor sharp handling.

A coupled suspension for sure has better trail manors than the assaults uncoupled skid. The weight transfer is tough to tame without pulling the limiter strap a decent ways

Outstanding video guys, and thank you for figuring out how to tame this beast! My 23 SBA is a friggen spring board, ill be calling Bruce soon for valving! Also feel i have a weak ifs spring, we'll see.

@JESSEJAMES322 you didn't revert back to the limiter strap at factory length with the re-valving? I'm assuming you're still running it a total of 1" shorter, moving the hole up 2"?
@JESSEJAMES322
@JESSEJAMES322 5 ай бұрын
no we kept the limiter strap. its my personal preference and yes 1 inch shorter

Great vid! Excited to send mine in for this. Does the new set up seem to maintain the ability to lift the skis on command like the assaults are known for or is there less transfer now? Thanks!

Did you made the rebound more linear or progressive compared to the stock? I have found same setup that you guys are doing and last is to get that rebound work better. So by stiffening it did you make it slower from all compressed compared to middle section or is it stiffer all the way like linear? Thanks for the channel!
@JESSEJAMES322
@JESSEJAMES322 5 ай бұрын
well rebound is hard to make progressive its really just slowing it or speeding it up. which we slowed it down a ton because it needed it. when he valves these he gets rid of the harsh that you feel in stock valving but makes it stiffer through the stroke

Does it push through corners? I ride an SBA myself and took a lot of ski pressure out for weight transfer but then I was picking skis in corners so I added a little front ski pressure now I feel like I have the perfect balance. It'll transfer weight to the track when I hammer it over the bumps but I have enough ski pressure (not too much literally no darting) but I can still grab and corner as good or better than any other sled I've been around
@JESSEJAMES322
@JESSEJAMES322 5 ай бұрын
My sleds do not push. With my ski set up along with aggressive carbide and tons of ski pressure my sleds do not push
@comicman8724
@comicman8724 5 ай бұрын
@@JESSEJAMES322 I added some ski pressure and it def helped and I do need to get more aggressive carbides (C&A XPTs) but even with a lot of ski pressure do you experience darting at all?
