When we last checked in with Polestar Chief Test Engineer Joakim Rydholm, we were treated to an icy adventure in the Arctic Circle. But this time around, we got to ride along in sunny Ronda, Spain where Joakim tested out the Polestar 2 BST 270 Edition on the Ascari Resort Racing Track.
With 270 of these cars released, the BST 270 features a range of upgrades and custom features, including Öhlins dampers and a long range dual motor, which give it superior handling and acceleration. Joakim demonstrates the car's impressive performance on the track, highlighting its acceleration, cornering, and braking capabilities.

Mine is just a Launch Edition ('21) with the Pilot and Plus packs (didn't opt for the Performance Pack), but I did get the Performance Software Update and this car is comfortable yet FUN to drive! BTW, I love the cut scene at the end when Joakim asks us to like and subscribe just before his neck slaps back as he pulls away :-).

I absolutely love my Polestar 2 with the Performance Pilot Plus pack. It puts a smile on my face every day and is one of the best cars I've ever driven. It made the transition from ICE hot hatches to an EV staggeringly easy that I could not believe it. Well done to the Polestar team for building such a fun and fantastic car.

From outside it look likes he wants to win a race, from the inside it is like he is relaxed sitting in seat and and enjoying the nature ;). What an impressive car. I really love Polestar cars. Hopefully I can drive or own a Polestar one day.

P-zero is worst pneu I ever had. It's very dangerous on wet!!! It was IMHO some Ford, which really pro guys from MM Automotive were not able to test, because of wet roads and unability to drive it safely in this environment :D XC60 (we have my19, T5) can handle it a little bit on wet, but it's just because of all assistants and electronics which is holding it... Hope Polestar 3 will be available to test soon in Czech Republic, because XC40 Recharge was really terrible and we are thinking to migrate to Audi e-tron because of this.

How many laps can you go full speed until the power management will cut the power to prevent the battery from overheating?

Take a look at Misha Charoudin channel. He drove a Polestar 2 on Nurburgring and it cut power before one full lap. Then Polestar updated the thermal software and he was able to drive continuously with no problem.

@avigator no, they improved thermal management to prevent overheating in the first place. It was not a special software for the nurburgring, it was the standard v2.1 software for all Polestar 2's. Thermal management has further improved since then to allow for an extra 50kw of motor output power.

Because it's a BeaST ;-) One might also say that it's the BeST version of the Polestar 2, too.

@@avigator Only Polestar knows, but I believe it does signify BEAST. Of course, they could have back-filled the words from the acronym they wanted ;-)
