Obviously a newcomer is not aware of one of the reasons we are drawn to this channel besides the beauty. John has showed time and time again honor and integrity and real devotion to the troopers and the horses along with a wonderful sense of humor. You are watching an extraordinary channel produced by an amazing person who will always do the right thing. Whatever is shown, whatever is said, is always shown in good taste. Please think about this before you comment in a negative way again. John spends his time showing us the best of London in an enjoyable way and never charges anyone. He is there for his enjoyment, we are just sitting on his coat tails enjoying his view.

I'm from the US and I couldn't figure out why a horse video was in my KZfaq feed, but what I've seen of the Guards, your county's wonderful customs and traditions, and your compassionate, humorous and insightful narrative, I'm in! But what really got me was seeing that Guard fall from the horse the other day. The gravity of the moment led me to think only three things: Brave man Soldiered on Honor God bless you all, Britain. on Wednesday it was terrific to see Australian solider ,(lieutenant) ask the lifeguard permission to touch reigns. He was with household cavalry trooper in camouflage and a male in plain clothes. Mutual respect makes a wonderful change from rude tourists. keep up the great communication and respect. 😊😊😊😊 aussie makes me proud.

1:10 those papers and TV media outlets they got an excellent report. Well done John. Onto your 2nd point about selling your stories. Those people who made the accusations that you sold your story that is a complete load of "codswallop". Which British slang for words or ideas that are foolish untrue and nonsense. You as an independent was the one invited to the Princess Elizabeth Cup. Troopers talk to you and to each other, that takes trust. Break that trust and you'll not get such an invite again. That horse box can carry 8 to 9 horses, depending on their size. The Budweiser Clydesdales use Semi trailers and only the box carries 5 horses and the kit for 10 horses. And it takes 2 semi rigs to move them city to city. They have an 8 Horse team with 2 horses for spare, plus the wagon in the back of the semi box. Just some information on how big those boxes can be. There is always the chance none of the loose horses will ever be sound enough to return to work due to damage to legs and hooves from pounding on the concrete. Horses are generally outfitted with rubber souls to cushion the shock to the legs while on concrete, so Im surprised the British dont. Those hard surface cause hairline fractures, founder and laminitis among other things, so that hard running on that surface and distances wouldnt surprise me of long term health issues.

Some people are despicable as we know. I thought you were really caring to not show that poor guard. Great respect indeed. I think all the guards are great handlers and have immense respect and love for their horses. It’s very sad that two of them won’t return to work. What an awful shock for them. The builders are100 per cent to blame. People could have died how irresponsible. They surely know the horses are around and people . I do hope that they will be looked after by many of equine sanctuary’s. Around. Poor things. @CaroleOwen -yu3gr To put your mind at rest, the Household Cavalry have their own horse sanctuary where their horses go to on retirement ( whether through age or injury). It is a beautiful set up and there is a lovely video of the establishment. You should be able to find the video on KZfaq or Google. Just do a search on Household Cavalry retirement home for horses. Hi all did you see Hyderabad has also been officially retired to The Horses Trust. Great to know that these beautiful horses get official retirement in front of the whole regiment when their saddle is removed for the last time. He was the Surgeon Colonel’s charger.

Hahaha, I’ve often wondered about that, walking around talking to a phone or camera, to invisible people, and not running out of things to say. I think that’s why I enjoy you John, your observations, sense of humor, and running commentary on the streets of London. I wouldn’t be able to talk for five minutes before I’d run completely dry, ummm, uh-duh! But maybe it’s because, although I’m originally from Chicago, I retired to a tiny town I’d be hard pressed to say much about, because it’s totally dull. 😂

Hi John, the march was about fighting the effect of eating disorder and mental health. They were chanting 'Hey, hey, ho, ho drop the scales they have to go'. A lot of people especially young girls, my nieces included the younger one copying her big sister, see pictures in magazines of women with skinny photoshopped bodies and feel under pressure to look like that so they don't eat. Their mum sat them down and told them the damage they were doing to their bodies, the hormone disbalance and could cause infertility.

Anyone who has known you or your channel; will know you do everything with respect to the guards, police, and horses. Not one time will do anything else than honour and respect them. Not only with not filming incidents or faces, but just the knowledge you bring to viewers and tourist alike. You stand up for them more than most. And it's why many of us are here. 😊 Also love the riot horses, 🐎😆 I just think they're adorable with their gear on

I get so angry when these protesters walk right by the horse Guards knowing and simply not caring, that they spook the horses and impede the Guards from their jobs and putting them in danger and the tourist who are there to see the Guards & Horses also! I just want to say. In watching all your videos. I have always thought you are very honest and respectful. Even when you could have filmed the officer that was thrown off his horse. You stated you weren't getting any closer and not going to zoom in out of respect of the trooper. Great work and please continue sharing history and entertaining us. ❤ From The USA.
