Chris gives it water, and after it had a bit of water, 2:17 the doggy hears new voices, hope... and runs barking towards the newcomers, telling the horror it had seen, and experienced. Even shifting to a more authoritative voice, at one point, and tried to the very last to give it's statement to the police. But, nobody listened. Not only an eyewitness, but also a victim.

Her friend is literally an angel showing up there, calling the cops, calling her mom, calling other friends, doing everything she could of. I hope she knows how good of a person she is. That’s a true friend right there. She had Shanan’s back and she was gonna be there ready to do whatever she needed to do to try and find her friend. Everyone seriously needs a friend as loyal as her. If I had a friend as good as her I wouldn’t need any other friends. One true friend is worth so much more. She really jumpstarted this investigation and got it moving so fast. Imagine how long this would of took without her coming over. Chris would of got home and tried covering his tracks more and made up more lies, we know he probably wouldn’t of called the cops. The cops probably would of never been at that house at all that day if it wasn’t for her friend. She was the main reason these cops jumped into gear so fast, without her they wouldn’t of known anything yet. God bless her friend for speaking up. She knew she had just dropped her off and watched her walk into the house earlier that morning, and then she’s the first one back at the house the second she couldn’t get ahold of her.
