Police clashed with protesters at UCLA for the second night in a row in an attempt to break up the pro-Palestinian encampment. NBC News' Steve Patterson reports on what he experienced during the clashes and how the protests are potentially over.

Many like me can support being anti-war or acknowledge that maybe it's a bad idea to keep sending billions to Israel year after year, but now I'm seeing students advocating completely asinine things like a one-state solution. Judging from the conversations I've seen where they interview RANDOM people protesting -- it doesn't seem like many know what they're talking about or supporting.

A one state solution has always been the only option. It's a matter of that one state being a multinational democracy that truly works for all its people or a brutal Zionist regime that engages in ethnic cleansing and apartheid. Israel repeatedly undermined and denied the Palestinians their right to statehood. Israel occupation of Palestinian land splits Palestine down the middle and their illegal settlements isolate communities in the ever shrinking West Bank. The only option that guarantees peace for the people in the region is a Palestine that represents the entire people. The Israeli ethnostate must go!
