Police confirm teenage boy has died after Hainault sword attack

The Metropolitan police said a 14-year-old boy was killed in a sword attack in Hainault, east London. Five others were injured, including three members of the public and two officers. The Met said the officers sustained wounds that required surgery, while the injuries sustained by two members of the public were not deemed to be life-threatening.
A 36-year-old suspect was arrested 22 minutes after the first call to emergency services, the Met said, after officers fired a stun gun at him. The force confirmed the incident was not terrorism-related

Im not going to make any wild unfounded prejudiced statements about who was responsible for this attack or their motives. Im going to be rational and wait for the official information to come to light. In the meantime regardless of the circumstances my deepest condolences to the victims family and friends for this tragic, violent and senseless end to a young mans life. A full recovery to the injured, and may the guilty party be fully punished according to the law.

All the cops there but it was young black lady cop that went in and grabbed the sword. It appeared most of the cops were scared to approach after they tased him. My condolences to the family of the young boy murdered.

This is caused by private prisons getting money for being full and therefore not growing to accommodate a growing population and growing inequality (and by extension, a growing criminal population). This has resulted in huge court backlogs and minimal sentences, so there is room in prisons for only the very worst offenders. Khan has sod all to do with it. Right wingers were warned what would happen when they cheered on privatisation. Our prisons are run for profit, not to keep our streets safe.
