I'm a firefighter/emt and just started using one of these, got it specifically for working mvc's at night. Yeah it won't replace a traditional flashlight but it makes me a little more visible on the roadways and it makes doing patient assessments 10 times easier at night. Also, I feel like childhood would've been much less traumatic if something like this were around when my dad needed me to hold the flashlight

Went to Miami in November, first time in America. 1st time I saw a police pursuit and I saw 3 of them. 1st time I saw Police with drawn weapons in an alleyway on some sidestreet in South-Beach. 15/10 would go and see action again. Edit: Also, Only went to Miami because of this Channel and Scarface.

This was an awesome video. Definitely going to get one of these to attach to a hardhat for wildfire fighting! Working a fire at night on a mountain with the red flashing and hands free light would be an amazingly efficient tool.

Tommy (Free Field Training) Reviewed the GA device a while back and left it in "emergency" mode for I believe over 12 hours without any dimming, the battery life on these are awesome. I wouldn't use it for initial approach but if checking DL/Insurance or after occupants have been pulled out to search it's a good tool. I also like the rear light feature for high traffic events so other units can spot you easily if you get in a fight or simply want an increased presence.

It's interesting and looks like something I would use. I would not get rid of my pelican flashlight and back up flashlight for this. I hope my department duty equipment Captain watches this channel so he can purchase this for us.

I'm extremely happy with mine I picked up the Amber colored one I use it for PD rotation calls pretty much anytime I'm on the side of the road it's bright and it allows me to be seen I would definitely recommend it

its a great idea for visibility when doing traffic, searching a suspect or vehicles but never will it be a replacement for the duty flashlight. the hand held light will be a main stay for many years to come, its the go to for light other then if say ur duty weapon has a tlr one or surefire.

I've been using one in all blue for a little over a year. I mainly purchased it for added visibility on crash scenes in low light conditions and have had many citizens tell me that the light made me more visible than a traffic vest alone. I think it's a wonderful product... 1*

Tommy from Free Field Training did a review of one a while ago and it ultimately led to me buying one in January. I love mine and have found it being more useful than not. It wouldn't replace a standalone flashlight (and honestly, it's not really designed to), but it certainly serves a purpose.

I mighg pick some of these up for the flash light and amber for if I need road side help and red and blue and red for if there is a scene that I need those. Plus I would get the red because I want to be able to do first aid if needed use that red and white one so people know Im first aid trained and if Im helping somebody with First aid I could set one when EMS could see it to see where the scene is

Check out first light T-MAX LE about double the price of this but all anodized aluminum, built like a surefire. One of my favorite lights.

I honestly want this light so much know I’ve been using a flash light and I can never find one small anuf to clip onto my uniform that’s bright so I have a long flashlight up there but I do like it because it’s bright and can zoom but this this is so cool to have honestly would love to try it out and see the brightness of the lights then self to be honest definitely looking it to buying one of these

Honestly I don't think it'll replace the flashlight...mostly because I feel like flashlights are more versatile and can direct light a tad bit more. Edit: I posted this before I got too far into the video xD

The Guardian lights seem pretty good for illuminating your notepad, writing up reports, etc. but theres some situations that require said flashlights: If theres a subject thats standing a good distance away from me at night and I want to see whats in their hand, my flashlight would definitely be better than the Guardian light. Its a great device though!

red light isn't infrared. infrared is a spectrum of the wavelength that is invisible to the human eye. it's the type of light that nightvision uses to illuminate dark areas.

I meant they as a general crowd who has been using the light. If you watch other reviews that what they are calling. Obviously it’s not infrared haha.

They have a red one and an infrared one too. Flashing infrared is useful, it lets the helicopter crew easily identify officers and suspects.

They are more for personal safety of the public especially in Florida on the roads for bikers and runners . I would definitely put in a this in the glove box of my personal car especially if your car breaks down you but it on the car and use it as a warning device of a car stuck on the highway with no street lights.

It’s an interesting concept, though I’ll stick with my Streamlight flashlights for now. I don’t ever hold a flashlight in my gun hand, so my draw isn’t affected by holding my light in my left hand. I could see this being useful, though.

Could you use them if your a volunteer fire firefighter when you get a call and you have to get to the station you could use it for having on your windshield so it’s like an undercover to get people out the way

They'd be great for random breath and drug testing. Well here in Australia anyway. We shut down whole roads and conduct random breath testing. Our legal limit is 0.05 BAC beaning if you blow 0.05 or higher then you are charged with drink driving. It's a lesson all US Police Departments should be taking note and following as it saves time due to officers not having to do all those another test such as heal to tow or follow the pen or light etc.

Just like any other tool if you don't use it correctly. Keep in mind the lights can be locked off so they won't come on and give up your position.

The issue I see with this product is that often officers don’t think about how their gear interacts, especially gear they don’t use constantly but would use in high stress situations (long guns). I keep things away from my shoulders for a reason while I’m in duty. My mic stays centerline so that, should I need to deploy my rifle or shotgun, I’m able to mount the rifle without hindrance. As for hands free lighting, you can achieve the same affect with one of the small streamlights and tucking it briefly on an epaulet for the search or paperwork and then moving it to it’s normal resting place. Plus that streamlight is a much more versatile piece of gear. The only place I see a use for this would be on my hi-viz traffic vest for additional visibility.

I mean I get it, but I don’t. Most Guardian Angels that I’ve seen used by LE are mounted on the top of their shoulder, and the only thing I can think of that they would struggle using with there is a rocket launcher...and even then that depends on the shoulder you use it on. I mean unless you think the buttstock of your long gun should be going over your shoulder you should be fine.

I got mine today. Free FedEx from WI. 📦. The lights are bright but not super bright or distracting. I'm working outdoors a lot in 🏞 areas this summer so a GA device like this will be helpful in critical incidents, calls.

Other reviewers have stated that this light will run continuously for as long as 14 hours before needing recharged. Also the red work light is not the same as infrared. Infrared is not generally visible to the human eye.

The flashing light in your face kills it for me. I bought a 8 dollar mini flashlight for the shoulder and it works great. No need to spend 124 for a shoulder light

Nick, the Red light is difficult to see on the distance, meaning that if you have it on, at a distance a subject will not be able to see the light
