27:37 Aside from the BNC connections, that splitter is basically no different from the Commscope bi-directional broadband F splitters I used to use as a cable installer for Timewarner. They have around a -3.5db drop at each output leg at 100Mhz. Effectively cutting your received signal in half. And your signal loss increases as the frequency increases. I would hardly call that "minimal signal loss." I would only use it with a gain antenna and avoid it if using a discone.

maybe listening to some small city police in the deep south or in Kansas.. but in the major cities say like Los Angeles... the Freqs of the law enforcement all changed to Digital Rolling Block encryption meaning everytime the police unit keys his mic he has a different set of codes like a enigma and thats when my days of listening to the police calls stopped.

Regarding the remote head 46:50.....maybe Uniden should just make the front of the scanner removable and remotable with a simple cable, like most recent amateur radio transceivers, rather than sell a completely separate remote head.

Ok I know this is totally off-topic, but I have a friend who is a ham operator. I think he has a Motorola radio. That also can pick up feeds from the local public transit bus system in his area. I ask Tim about good radios for listening to stuff like that he recommended the whistler trx 2. I wonder if there’s anybody out there who can guide me on what are some good radios for getting stuff like public transit scanner feeds?
