G’day, John. Can not help but notice how many people are recording here, including gent @ 13:50, and publishing to KZfaq. I’ve scanned many of them but always come back here for in-depth coverage. No one has the dialogue of events that London City Walks does. That is why I always come back here. I loved seeing the dog there @ 25:47, almost looks like a Kuvaz. Thank you, John; take care.

Morning John. The horse you pointed out as Ormonde 17:22 is actually a mare, Quintessence. She has a similar blaze to Ormonde. Ormonde was actually behind her, second last horse. Could almost see the name of the new horse on the 'connecting strap' under the jaw, perhaps you could zoom in on that?

You could share your wealth of information w me 😂 I’m still trying to understand why they wear red uniforms or black uniforms and how it’s decided which they wear or if it’s a totally different branch/ level of the guard?? Hats over helmets ect, as an American it’s totally different from what I know about our military here. The black uniforms seem more formal but I’m not sure

Ceremonial or not carrying a bladed article is illegal. The King’s guards can’t wander around with their swords when not on duty. But a kirpan- which I think the Sikh gentleman was wearing - is usually blunted for ceremonial dress purposes only. Either way, because of it’s religious significance, carrying it is not illegal - taking it out of its sheath in public, if not blunted, could pose a problem. Brilliant long guard and exceptional trumpeters. It did look like the horses that were leaving seemed more enthusiastic than the ones arriving. Perhaps they’re anticipating their nice, cushy stables well, away from pesky tourists.

The dust being kicked up by the trumpeters horse and the haze from the sunshine made the image look like a ghostly mirage from the past. I saw your video the other day of you walk to Buckingham Palace. I too was surprised they haven't got the gate repaired yet though from the ladder peeking out over the top of the boarding, it looks like someone is working on it. There probably isn't the craftsmen now days to be able to do the job quickly and they can't work on it while troops are in the area. I also agree with you to give that area a miss. It was a chaotic nightmare. The walk through St James's Park was really nice though. Thank you.

Ahhhhh Long Guards NEVER get old. Also really nice to get end of day cos, yes it’s been a while. 😂looks like a couple of the LifeGuard mounts are into the idea of cantering back to Hyde Park🤣. Oh what a stunning picture with the trumpeter riding into the tunnel…….just gorgeous, and nice work on the call. And the Blues always look so sharp!! Love the confuzzlement out the front 🤣 it must get hard trying to keep up with all the changes at this time of the year cos they seem to change on the hop😂 Poor lad on the end of the lineup for the dismount😂. His Mount had obviously decided that it was late enough for him and it was time to get into the stables, like RIGHT NOW!! Love, love, love that female officer…..firm, kindly but takes no crap! And the daggers aren’t “ceremonial”, theyre religious. They’re blunt for normal wear anyway…..and wasn’t that a stunning blue colour??

Morena John, very much loved this Long Guard in it's entirety (and watched pt1 and 2 with lots of pauses, busy days) Rather strange to see the changeover happening in late afternoon. As the Blues and Royals rode in through the tunnel it was like a flashback to when Peter rode in and he looked directly into your camera. After the dismount the guard at left had a struggle to hold his mount in place. Waited for the Boxman to reveal the name of The Horse With No Name 🎶but even the law couldn't coax it out of him. Thank you John for the wonderful contents and commentaries...May 20 that sure was a long eventful day. Take care. kiwi 😃
