So no one ever thought about wearing a hidden camera to up load to the internet for the world to see what they go through, I mean they probably wouldn't allow the child sex abuse, to be up load, but everything else should be shown about what these people have to go through everyday.

A bpo company is offering this kind of job to me, cause they say it's a back office type of job. Then thankfully, a friend of mine told me everything about this work, and I know I can't take this kind of job. It's okay for me to be jobless for the moment than to affect my mental state to this kind of job. But I am thankful to all social media content moderators, they make social media safe for everyone. They are truly heroes.

@@Killua_Zoldyck601 I would say yes, I remember when I'm using FB and KZfaq around 2010, I was able to watch some scenes like beheading in a Middle East country. It's so disturbing that time, when there's no content moderator account. I would say they are successful with those sense.

I've moderated in chat rooms and in games, sometimes up to 1000 people in one chat. You have to watch so carefully and get to know grooming technics and pay attention to the young people in the chat and watch who is interacting with them alot. Watch your children in games. Peek over their shoulder now and then to see who they are talking with. It happens alot more than you think.

Is there any reporting to the police that's being done before deleting those contents? Coz that's basically deleting proofs of the crime. I don't even consider that policing coz they haven't really fixed anything. Addendum: While sounding like they're victims of trauma from watching. Pfft.

TaskUs in Quezon City offers this kind of job. I passed all the exams and interviews but I didnt pursue because (1) the company is so cheap that they cant even make parking free for employees, and (2) the salary is too low. I loved the interior of the company though. Unlike most BPOs, TaskUs has a "chill" kind of environment. I'd rather be a content moderator than to answer calls from irate and racist customers. I've been in the BPO industry for six years and the rule is simple: if you dont like what youre doing -- quit. The problem with the folks in the BPO is they say "YES" to all questions asked by the HR during application just for the sake of passing the interviews but when they hit the production floor they start ranting about lots of issues about the job they signed up for.

This job isn't really for everyone and has been in the BPO industry way before social media started. The question is why stay? You have the choice to resign or you can request for an account transfer. It's not forced labor, it's not a sweat shop, it's not a concentration camp. So again, why stay and complain? One of the reasons these people stay is because the work is much easier and lax than taking or answering calls. You can talk to your colleagues while working, eat while working, listen to sounds while working, take bathroom breaks easily, etc. The environment is much better than handling calls and talking to rude and irate customers. One more thing to add, this video is so dramatized. It's not like you work in the dark and in paranoia kind of thing. The floor is fully lit with people talking and having fun with each other. Plus they are properly compensated with benefits, allowances, and overtime pay.

Unlikely they'd do this, but if the world truly cared about not going to hell in a basket with the current state of things, social media companies should: - develop the tech to recognise and filter vile content, and automate deletion of the post, - while logging a copy of the post and sending that information to the police if it's about a violent crime like child pornography or murder or some other shit. All this freedom of speech bullcrap is one thing, but if no action is taken to harness the power of social media to make sure vile people are being held accountable (especially if they star in the video, not the uploader), then reality isn't going to change and it's just going to allow more sick people to hide behind avatars doing unspeakable things.

See, I don't think anything should be moderated. People should see shit for what it really is. Rather than deleting and removing stuff to not cause offence, we should be taking active measures to stop them happening in the first place. Just my thoughts on the subject. What is posted online could be used to gather information of social issues and could be used towards shaping change, making something negative a little bit more positive.
@MiVidaBellisima

jezzermeii there simply has to be censorship. Teens on Facebook shouldn’t be seeing child porn, murder, suicide or whatever other sick shit they remove on the daily.
@jezzermeii
@jezzermeii 5 жыл бұрын
@@MiVidaBellisima These sort of things don't randomly turn up on your newsfeed. You'd have to be friends with the person or part of a group where that type of thing is broadcast. I don't know, I'm a strong supporter of the 'wild west' internet. I believe that if we start censoring stuff to 'save the children' it will open the doors to other forms of censorships and controls that are bad for democracies and personal freedoms. Attempts to go further with censorship have been blocked in the west so far, but Russia and China have very different forms of internet access and don't enjoy the freedoms that we have. I think, as with everything in life, we have to take the good with the bad. The best thing to do is not to go looking for these types of things, then you don't find them. If you google 'gore pictures video' into Google, you'll find horrible things. Everything is accessible on the internet and frankly you only find what you were looking for in the first place. People should be taught how to be responsible with the internet and if they choose not to be, then whatever they see is their own fault. It's like saying that everyone should have curfews because there's dangerous people out at night!
