Well its definitely not like Edu or the club met someone on the street and signed him for the club.. obviously they have done their home work.. now its always a risk.. every transfer has a risk associated to it, no matter whoever the player is, or even however well known he is.. its always tough to say, what's gonna happen next.. so we can just wait and watch. We all were hyped about Pepe, and we know how it turned out to be... and none of us knew who Martinelli was, and we also know how that turned out. So.. just chill.

Pepe is a good footballer though. He's just not suited to the Prem. Pepe's first game for us (at Anfield) for me he was the best player on the pitch - and that was when LFC were in their prime. He was destroying PRIME VAN DIJK, but he wasn't clinical enough to score those goals. I think he lost his pace, whilst trying to BULK-UP for the Prem, maybe he focused too much on Weight gains and didn't put enough emphasis on maintaining his pace.

Pepe honestly let me down big time, he's actually such a baller. Technically he's one of the most gifted footballers in todays game. I reckon if his attitude was different, and more intent on proving everyone that his talent is suited to his surroundings, he would have made it. But he chose the easy option to go to an easier league. Cop out. There was no reason why he couldn't have risen to the challenge of the Premier League. He just needed to be more direct in my opinion. But oh well.

Left sided CB and can play DM fairly well. I don't really see why he's so good (he doesn't do particularly well on the advanced statistics I've seen and I haven't seen him play outside of the world cup where he didn't stand out for me) but it was a 4+ way battle between AC Milan, Juve, Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal and more so obviously teams rate him. Some people are going to comment on the price but for a backup for two positions for a team top of the league how much do you think that's going to cost?

You need to remember he plays for a very poor team in he's division he will thrive at arsenal

@@tomwaters5359 Yeah I get that Spezia as well as Poland are both pretty bad but I didn't see anything when I've watched him play to set him apart from his team-mates Of course scouts of all the biggest clubs in the world getting paid millions a year know a LOT more than me though haha

@yaboykirby7789 I think if dortmund Milan and napoli all in for him is a good sign also look at his defence stats and remember he has to defend more than most due to the low level of team I'm impressed will be decent cover with alotnof potential very physical is what we need

Yes you can't take a single countryman's view, as fans gas players that THEY like. Many Arsenal fans may have seen him perform for Poland in the World Cup at least, where he was decent If he comes in it's for squad depth.
