This one from feb 2020 was still in good shape so far ;-) the ones I usually have in hands from 2019 and over are way more scratched… since you published older videos using this polishing technic, I always apply the same method with the same proxxon polishing tool and the same paste but to be honest I never really manage to erase the scratches for good but it gives this final mirror rendering which is great though. Great job my friend, I learnt so much from your work 👍

Thank you for such an excellent and informative video - I do have one question though, what speed do you use with the polishing machine?

I polish at full speed, which means 2,600 rpm for the proxxon. You always have to keep an eye on the temperature of the plastic parts, they must not get too warm. It is best to polish with interruptions and wipe off with a wet cloth in between. It is also important not to polish in one spot for too long.

Podobno można fajnie wyszlifować papierem ściernym 2-tyś. Ale jeszcze sam nie próbowałem. Polerowanie na połysk natomiast nie ma sensu, za dużo pracy a wyniki średnie.

It is about 2-3 hours of work with disassembling and reassembling the machine.

I tried to polish a Melitta Barista T type coffee machine but failed. I used the same machine, paste and sponge. It's as if I hadn't done anything, it's just as scratchy. What am I doing wrong?

Great video, very informative as usual. I had a question, I have been trying polish Jura piano black pieces using a very similar hand polisher as you have and using the same Menzerna compounds (2500 and 3800). The problem I am having is that I am unable to achieve a mirror finish. I consistently get a cloudy finish. Any clue as to what I am doing wrong? Am I polishing too much and warming (burning) the plastic? Thanks for your help.

You have to be careful that the plastic doesn't get too hot. If necessary, keep cooling with a wet cloth. I think you need another polish medium between 2500-3800. I also use a 3500 grit. It is important that the pads are washed out again and again before you use new polish.

Hi. ich habe eine frage, ich habe mir gerade eine magnifica evo 290.61sb gekauft, habe ca. 20 kaffees damit gemacht und es kam eine fehlermeldung, die maschine ist zu verschmutzt, ich kann die brüheinheit nicht entfernen. Ich habe alles andere darauf gereinigt, was kann ich damit machen? Die Maschine verweigert irgendetwas, selbst wenn ich den Netzstecker ziehe, versucht sie nur ein Reinigungsprogramm auszuführen, kann es aber nicht abschließen. Wenn Sie helfen können, danke. Ich schreibe mit Google Translate über Ungarn. Danke Zsolt

Hallo, wenn Sie die Brühgruppe herausnehmen wollen, dann müssen Sie die Maschine ausschalten aber in Stendby Betrieb belassen. Das heißt nur vorne am Knopf ausschalten. Leider weiß ich nicht was die andere Fehlermeldung verursacht, vielleicht gibt es ein Elektronik Problem.
