Please don't ever forget to block wheels. My uncle used to polish and neglected to block the wheels before jacking. It took him 23 hours to get out from the loaded tridems he was adjusting the jack under. Broke 13 ribs. Collapsed and punctured both lungs. Shattered 7 teeth gritting them getting out. Yeah he screwed up, but it's still just a possibility to keep in mind if you are ever tempted to slack on some safety some time...

Now that’s a story! He’s a beast for getting out though. Did he get out on his own or did he not show up for dinner and someone ended up finding him? That’s a painful life lesson but I’m sure he was glad to be alive to learn it lol

@@ThatSoonerGuy He is deaf. He can read lips in person, or hear at about 40% of normal with his cochlear implant(hearing aid). Unfortunately the "bionic ear" was either in the car or battery dead. At some point did try to call 911 a couple times, but this was before everyone had smartphones and so no GPS location. Since he couldn't hear them to answer questions, or even know if they had connected the line, that wasn't much help. He did try calling his big sister, my mother, but she was out at a friend's cabin in a bad cell area so didn't take the call. His voice mail didn't make much sense to her when she first played it back. We listened to it a few days later.... "Hi Xxxxx, I think I killed myself. Please tell Mom that I love her and thank you for everything". Ultimately he wound up, in his words, "gritting his teeth and pushing himself out while his father (dead 40+ yrs) lifted the truck off of him." ... But I suspect that he just managed to grit his teeth and break a few more ribs allowing him to escape from under the 140,000 lbs (9axle) of fully loaded gravel truck and transfer. He then laid in the mud for a few minutes (hours?) "to catch his breath" before crawling over to his car. There he stayed for a little bit longer hoping "for the pain to get a bit better so [he] could go back and finish the job" for his customer... In the end he wound up driving himself out... But, his car, a standard transmission front drive VW golf, wouldn't go into Reverse (transverse flail chest; not so stable) so he managed to turn around on the rough plowed farm field without getting stuck. He had to use gears 1-2 because others required pushing the gearshift side to side. He then couldn't find the hospital. They had recently opened a new one and closed the old. He was able to find an ambulance station though. Pulled onto the apron and someone came out to tell him that he couldn't park there. So he asked for and GOT DIRECTIONS to the new hospital. Drove off from the ambulance station, still with 4-way flashers on, and finally found the hospital. Fortunately for him a security guard was doing rounds outside and saw him park rather poorly. At this point his recount of the ordeal ends; he passed out trying to get out of the car. They took him into the ER then to ICU, kept in an induced a coma for 10 days. The social worker was able to track down my mother the next day. That was when she was finally able to decipher his breathless phone message. I was out visiting with my grandma at the time, and it only took us (his Mom, brother, and myself) 14hours to extract ourselves from our plans, pack and drive the 800 miles out. Quick drive. The ICU nurses told us he was the first patient they ever saw force themselves to walk around that ward. He wanted to jumpstart the recovery process and did everything he heard the physio discuss (versus order, did I mention deaf?) In the end he did wind up with a rather severe anoxic brain injury. His personality is much the same. His stubbornness had always made mules look like brainwashed sheep, but that did get stronger. Also, now he can barely walk due to no balance or coordination. Usually he uses walking poles (ski poles but less pointy) to keep from falling over his own toes. Sadly, much of his higher reasoning and thinking is very slow and memory is pretty much botched. He has been medically disqualified from driving, and it takes a few months to learn how to use his iphone again after each update. Thankfully it's now outdated enough for Apple to stop screwing it up. Beast? Yeah, a stubborn one at that. The incident was investigated as a full fatality. Our version of OSHA decided that due to the nature of the accident there was no reason he should have lived. The doctors said the only thing that kept him alive was that he was in Olympic level cardio health. Because he has asthma and suffers from wicked allergies each spring, he had taken to hiking up a local ski hill every day before starting work.

@@geoffr5232 wow man, what a story and a badas* uncle. Miracles do happen and his father may have helped him. We may never know, but I believe him. He's lucky to be alive and sounds like he doesn't let anything stop him. What an inspiration. This story should be told, I think it will inspire people. God bless him

I haven't tried the sanding wheel. I use 100g paper to sand then 220 then 500 to finish. Then straight to the polishing pads. We brown and purple Rouge and it looks like a mirror

How long does the shine last? Is there anything beyond the compound you've tried to add some longevity? Or is it not worth using other products on top? I have some aluminum rims I've been wanting to polish. Great video!👍👍

Man you are good at what you do. But you gotta invest in some , Really good work ware. What I'm trying to say is your skin can only Take so much. You clearly have a passion for this and , Inspired people like me. With that unfortunately , I'm going to do it the very same way as I see You doing it. BECAUSE I WANT TO BE THE BEST (and to be the best you gotta learn from the best) Sorry this dragging out a lil bit. Long story short , Something to protect the skin. Think that'd be 100%😎 (Sorry just to be 100% clear I only mean all this coming from a good place. And I just want to be safe is all.)
