Your all good bro👍 thanks for the compliment and that agate is really sweet it has nice layers of different things going on that's why I kept the slices kinda thick.

Thanks, it does have some nice color to it for sure and the extra polishing stages seem to help out a lot so I do recommend you get them.

Man, that came out really nice! Great job and beautiful agate! I see an image in your agate. Look at 7:31 there's a girl in a dress with long hair and bangs looking to the right. Do you see it or am I just crazy? Its like a painting with the moss making the image of a person. that just makes it even more awesome!

Thanks I appreciate it, and I do see the image after you mentioned it 👍 the black in the agate looks like a lady with long hair and bangs that's cool thanks for showing me 🍻

Thanks for sharing the post 406, much appreciated! Beautiful little chunk of mother earth, looks nice polished up~ I can truly tell you from the years i"ve been doing it, if you focus most of your time on first and second stages, the rest are all really easy. Also, I use jewelers glasses at 10x when polishing, If I can't see the scratches at 10x then with my own eyes the material looks glassy perfect! Thanks again and hope you have a nice rest of the week~
@406findings
@406findings 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for advice and I'll have to look into the jewelers glasses I bet that will help a lot for finding the scratches.
@BackcountrywithShaughn
@BackcountrywithShaughn 3 жыл бұрын
@@406findings One other thing that helps me, since the scratches disappear when water is added, I use a black sharpie to color in the scratch and when the ink inside the scratch is gone, so is the scratch! Otherwise you have to polish and dry, polish and dry polish and dry to see the quality of the finish~ Have a great day sir!

Thanks I appreciate it, and anytime your knowledge about the flat lap helped a lot, and with the different grades of polish it seems to show the different layers in the rock material for the ones I have done ,when you reflect the light on it, I can send some pics of what I mean on your instagram and see if you get the same or different results.

do you change pads with every polishing paste you do?

@406findings 6 ай бұрын
Yes you do need to have separate pads with its own polishing paste on it so you don't cross contaminate the pads.
