@@christopherdoyon3827it's not but he made it much worse.. he destroyed the A-B-B lineup against grass types and water/flying types and put the wrong moveset on A9 and swampert 😅

You can actually see how Dan’s hair has gotten more grey since he started analyzing others’ battles. Also, a vid on how to realign would be great. I hear people mention it all the time. Zero idea on exactly how to do it.

I feel like lower ranks put too much value on switch and baiting debuffing moves. I see that a lot when I fall behind in the ranks

Can you elaborate? I think I get what you mean regarding switch but do you mean they bait more often?

@@ieuanbevan8791 Take Poliwrath, with Scald and Icy Wind. In lower ranks, people would often try a resisted Icy Wind bait against Registeel over a neutral Scald. A very risky, rather unnecessary bait.

@@thylzos thanks I thought that’s what was meant but wanted to be certain, I find baits (unless it’s a win con) lose me far more matches than they win so I won’t be bothering in that scenario anyway.

@ieuanbevan8791 another example I see sometimes is running power-up punch on medicham or poliwrath. The benefit of that bait move isn't worth losing a coverage move. As far as putting too much value on switch, like Dan mentioned in this video. Many times going down shields isn't worth having switch advantage. It seems like people do that, and hope their backline can hard counter their opponents given a favorable alignment. But if the opponent's backline is generally safe or has any nukes, you end up in trouble

@@EthanS151 that makes a lot of sense on alignment and is definitely something I’m guilty of. I’m not very good at knowing exactly when I should be fighting for switch or not in the first place.

I started leading obstagoon because of how many empoleon leads I was seeing and ran into so many charmers, even a shadow gardevoir. Grow up, trainers! 😾
