Several major rivers, long seen as a lifeline for Bangladesh's capital Dhaka, are now considered biologically dead.
Pollution and untreated waste are being blamed for the change - that is now threatening the livelihoods of millions of people.

When i see our beautiful rivers r turning black..it just made me so sad .. even in the remote rural areas the same picture.

Australia is mostly a desert, not really conducive for human settlement. As for Bangladesh, even with its economic problems etc., the country welcomed refugees.
