It's been nearly two years since @polog pulled up to the #LIFTOFF, with Justin Credible and DJ Sourmilk, to rip through his first Leakers freestyle.
Returning to the Power 106 studios, just ahead of the release of his 'Hall Of Fame' album, Polo not only paid homage to the late DMX with bars over "Ruff Ryders' Anthem", the Chicago native wasted no time delivering non-stop action over the iconic instrumental.
Going up for nearly two straight minutes, Polo got active spitting, "The rappers in my city got a choice of either die or move, from the Raq to L.A., to take a L, I refuse."

To all of you asking why he doesn’t rap like this. Just the number of views here will explain why. People nowadays don’t like pure rap, it’s not being consumed. Too many whack rappers blowing up and having so many views and getting recognition with weak verses and projects. Polo G can actually rap and every song he spits real and meaningful lyrics. He’s also got bars and wordplay. Not many of this generation rap anymore.

Yeah coz real hardcore rap doesn't sell. To be a successful mainstream rapper, you need to water down your rap and it will sell better. There's a reason Cardi B has more number one songs than Kendrick Lamar and sells more than real rappers like Joey Badass.
