I must say, knowing the fact that poor Heather O'Rourke (RIP) actually died before shooting wrapped on this cinematic piece of fecal matter just makes this that much harder to watch. Absolutely depressing that this young girl's career and life had to end on such a terrible note.

I agree. I rented this on vhs in the 90s with my sister. We were groaning at the movie, we weren't scared, then we started making fun of it. It was like applause when it finally ended!

It's not as good as the first two but I actually enjoyed this one. The mirror thing scared the shit out of me when I was younger.

This is better than part 2.

Yeah this one is definitely the worst of the trilogy the mirror stuff was interesting but I feel they didn't do enough with it huge step down.

A Very Horrible Sequel and it's also one of the Worst Films of 1988! I felt really sorry for Heather O'Rouke that she had to go through a terrible Crohn's disease and a total injustice to her character, Carol-Anne. Tom Skerritt as "Bruce Gardner" is the only one who at least I can root for and so was Zelda Rubinstein as "Tangina" (Except for what they did to her in the climax). Nancy Allen's character as "Patricia" kept changing from a nice lady to a total annoying idiot and later, the heroine in the final climax. Lara Flynn Boyle was fine as "Donna", her boyfriend Scott is lame and Richard Fire as the psychologist, "Dr. Seaton" is a moron! Has some nice special effects with the mirrors but others were poorly done, terrible writing and was poorly edited and direction by "Wanted: Dead or Alive" and "Dead and Buried" director, Gary Sherman. The re-shot ending was terrible but at least the original ending exist on the Shout! Factory release that was slightly better but it still has issues (I agree, they should have use that head exploding effect on Kane and Tangina's very strong battle with Kane). Oh and don't give me started on the name calling with "Carol-Anne" being shouted out repetitively for about over 100 times like it was a Guinness World Record as opposed to other names! Even bringing back Reverend Henry Kane didn't help and honesty, didn't really need to. Therefore, I really hated that sequel so much!

Poltergeists in a high rise. Yeah this movie sucked. It was like "can we make this movie even more boring and nonsensical" I mean it doesn't even make sense to the lore that it created. So these things follow Carol-Ann all the way to Chicago? Yeah right 😄 it's like they completely ran out of ideas. No wonder why people think part 3s are the weakest of movie sequels. It started with this movie.
